Marbott's Greenhouse & Nursery

I first went to Marbott's at the invitation of my son and daughter-in-law; they told me they had found this really great place to buy plants. I have been back every year since. They have a wonderful selection, eveything is in excellent condition, the people themselves are very knowledgable and have been able to answer my every question, and their prices, though not cheap, are not excessive. I am looking forward to my trip to Marbott's again this year. Pros: Healthy plants, good selection, helpful service. Cons: Non that I know of. more

I have visited Marbott's several times and always found them to be helpful, knowledgeable and the plants to be very healthy. As another reviewer noted there can occasionally be a plant or two without a label but this is not Home Depot, it happens. I have never felt a high pressure sales pitch and have used my debit card without a extra charge (although I have not yet visited this season, maybe there was a policy change). On most occasions I purchase 1-3 plants and have never felt pushed to buy more. To me this business represents is a throw-back to an earlier time, it is a small locally owned nursery that has a good selection of plants and great customer service. Waking up to the sun after a long, cold, winter inspired my husband and I to make a list of several nurseries in our area in search of garden supplies. Our first stop was Marbott's, because they open early. Unfortunately, I wish we had gone somewhere else because our experience at Marbott's was so horrible it ruined our mood and after leaving we were so irritated we just went home. But I digress... Pros: Large space, off street parking Cons: Lots of dead plants, lots of things smothered by moss, RUDE OWNER, things not labeled more
