I cant believe how many animals are at this zoo.

You get what you pay for, and Lincoln Park Zoo, which is free to enter, is a prime example of this. It is decent, but just decent, as far as zoos go. The animals don't seem partic...

Free admission 7/19/2005

I love this zoo because it is located in the heart of Chicago and there is no admission. There are stores and restaurants all around and it makes a great all day event. Forget about parking. Just take public transportation and enjoy a stroll throughout the zoo and all around the city. This is great place for families, friends, and even a great place for a date. more

fun at the zoo. 7/3/2005

I remember going to this zoo when i was a kid,and have taken my child there as well...lot's of animals to view and they also have a section where they let children touch live animals,and also touch the skins of animals. the people that work there are great in educating the public about animals. are favorite animals to go see are the gorillas & the chimps,they are so much like humans...they also have paddle boat and swan boat rides,which are great to go on during the summer months. the zoo is open 365 days & free admission every day. more

Lincoln Park 6/30/2005

This zoo is located in a beautiful location. There is plenty of grassy areas to walk and enjoy on the walk to the zoo, as well as great parks located within blocks of the zoo. The Lincoln Park has been plagued with several animal deaths this year and we are hoping and praying that they will not be pressured into closing as this is the most favorite attraction in Chicago for our family. The zoo is free and parking (if you choose to park in the lot) is a low $9. The animals appear well taken care of and the set up is easy to stroll. There are vendors and eating places available if you need them as well as a few picnic areas to enjoy a picnic you brought with you. My family loves this zoo and can't say enough about how wonderful it is and what a bargain!! more

Animals Animals.. 6/18/2005

Lincoln Park Zoo is a really large zoo with a variety of animals. Addmission is free and it is a great outing for the entire family. The park is well-maintained and well-kept. They have a variety of shows and tours offered throughout the day so be sure to check those out if you are at the park! more
