Very Chic! 12/31/2005

Yes - their groceries cost a little more but you certainly can't beat the "experience" of shopping at Larry's Market! It has such atmosphere and offers so many extras that most stores don't bother to stock. They are also great for specialty items, bulk items and gift items. I have shopped there for years and enjoyed it. more

Great place to get your grocery 10/4/2005

I used to go to Larry's market all the time until I moved out of the aurora area. Larry's market has one of the best services, and the quality of their food is top notch. Everywhere around their store is alway clean and neat and the amount of stock on shelf is always full. The workers service is superb and every department in the store always has the freshes groceries possible. The only downside to this grocery store is that the price is higher than most of the normal grocery stores, but that's because they quality of food is higher than most of the other stores too. So if you prefer quality over price than this would be a great grocery store for you. more

An alternative to the Whole Food juggernut 9/23/2005

Larry's prices are sane and its selection is diverse and fresh. The seafood section, while not very big, always has a wide variety of fresh seafood. All Larry's markets have a big food to go section with a wide variety of prepared foods including fresh salads and desserts. The wine and beer section is very nice and they often have sales. The produce is very fresh and is a big improvement over some of the chain stores in the area. Also, each Larry's features a Peet's coffee for your drinking pleasure. Many of the foods that buy at Whole Foods are also available at Larry's-sometimes for a less expensive price. more

Fresh produce and foodie delights 8/20/2005

Larry’s market is a small local chain with loyal shoppers. It’s no wonder, given their good selection of fresh, high-quality produce, meats and packaged goods (including may health-conscious, organic and vegan foods). The first time I went to Larry’s I was looking for Dungeoness crab. I had relatives in town, and wanting to impress them, hoped that Larry’s could give me a decent price on the crab and tell me how to cook them without screwing it all up. The guy at the seafood counter did even better—for the same price as the fresh, uncooked crab ($5.99), they pulled them out of the tank and cooked them for me while I waited, packed them in ice, and told me how to reheat them in a pot at home. The crabs were cooked perfectly, meaty and delicious and my place didn’t smell half as bad as it would have. more

High quality, average atmosphere 8/16/2005

Larry's market is a local chain of semi-high end grocery stores. I say "semi" because, while their food quality is far, far, better than your average QFC/Thriftway/Safeway megacorp factory outlet, their feel isn't much different. In comparison, a place like Central Market or Whole Foods probably has a similar quality to most things you'll find in Larry's, but they put much more effort into their atmosphere. Larry's feels like a grocery store. more

High End Groceries 8/14/2005

I have shopped here a few times and usually only for select items. It is a clean store with a nice selection of organic produce. But on the whole I spend at least 50 dollars more a shopping trip than I do going to a local grocery store. If you have money to burn this is the place for you.. for the rest of us try safeway or fred meyer/ more

Nice but overpriced grocery store 7/27/2005

Larry's has a great selection of produce, seafood, and a really nice assortment of beer and wine. The store is clean, nicely stocked, and has very friendly staff. However, it's probably the highest priced mainstream grocery store in Seattle. For regular grocery items, you're better off just going to QFC or Safeway, and the central markets and Madison Market offer better selections of organic produce at less expensive prices. more

Gourmet groceries in Queen Anne 7/21/2005

I love Larry's! There are six in the Seattle area and they're all great and sparkling clean, which is important to me. Each has an amazing wine/beer selection, and their meat/seafood departments are just as good and fresh as what's for sale in Pike Market. Their floral department is certainly adequate and the bakery and deli are fantastic. The prices are high, largely because of the prime Seattle real estate the stores occupy, but also because the sell top-notch foodstuffs. You can certainly shop for cheaper, but your experience is bound to be better at Larry's! more

Larrys Maket 7/20/2005

This isn't a restaraunt but actually a grocery store, its located in Arurora, next to Oak Tree Cinema. I think its a very great and cheap place to buy some candy or sweets to sneak into the movies for you and that special someone. I believe their products are way cheaper then QFC or Safeway, and they still have store brand products, so come on it, and check it out sometime either for some snacks for a movie, or if you actaully need some food for the house! Enjoy! more

Larry's Rocks! 6/12/2005

I love Larry's. They have a Worldly World class selection of products. Their produce section is to die for and they have an amazing fresh foods/deli section. If you are looking for something that you cant find at your "normal" grocery. Try Larry's! It is very clean, the staff is very nice, and everything is in the top bracket. On the downside. You are going to pay significanly more to shop at Larry's. more
