Food is pretty solid at this place but the delivery couldn't be worse. We have waited two hours the last two times we've ordered. After the first time, we gave them the benefit of the doubt since the food was good. But a second time?! Oh and the second time they forgot an entr?e! So chalk up another 45 minutes to wait for them to bring it. Ridiculous. To make matters worse, serious language barrier when you call the restaurant to check for your order. more

The third of the "Lao-owned" restaurants I've tried, this one had by far the best food. Even the Szechuan and Hunan dishes were better than the Lao Szechuan and Lao Hunan locations. more

Pretty good--loved the mushu pork and the spicy chicken, tasty hot and sour soup, the salt and pepper fish was ok but not awesome--could have been spicier and less breaded. Delivery took half the time they said it would, which was a pleasant surprise. I would definitely order again. more

Best Chinese Gourmet in Chicago 7/14/2010

Enjoyed a feast of perfectly cooked duck and many other dishes. All were perfect. The tableside preparation was outstanding. This is one of the best Chinese dinners I have ever enjoyed in the USA.\r \r Fresh food and attentive service makes this the ultimate destination for Chinese dining in Chicago. Great noodle soups! 2/27/2008

I had a nice cozy lunch here. \r Pros: Spring Rolls, noodle soups (you can customize the spicyness), service was great and they had great recommendations\r \r Tony, the owner, is usually in the restaurant and will pass out his card o you and make sure everyone is happy. The have a huge menu, that can be overwhelming...just ask your server what they think if you are stuck between two choices. Great value for your buck! Good food. Pros: the food and service Cons: large selection, can be over whelming more
