i went to kerbey lane once, and i am not motivated to go back. my friends and i waited at the door to be seated, employees would pass and not even greet us..so we decided to seat ourselves which annoyed the employees, the same employees who wouldn't give us the time of day. then our server who got us our drinks promptly wouldn't come back to our table to take our order or even to check up on us, even though all our drinks were empty. i wouldn't say that i am a pushy customer b/c i have waited tables for three years, but the service was ridiculous; and supposedly our server was also the manager. she didn't have time to check on our table, but she certainly had time for smoke breaks. i don't think i will go again...but who knows. don't even get me started on the food. more

Kerby Lane is by far my favorite restaurant. Not only for breakfast, but at any hour of the day. The baked potato omelet and buttermilk pancakes are to die for! more

I think Kerbey has the best breakfast. Their pancakes are perfect and huge, and their migas and omelettes are great. They have an extensive menu, but I would say don't expect fast or courteous service b/c they tend to hire goofy Austin ""slackers."" And there's often a huge wait for breakfast, because the food is so good, especially if you're into healthy and/or organic grub. more

So there's usually a wait for a table for brunch. This is a good late nightspot. I like to get the baked potato omelet. It has sour cream and chives in it with cheese and the crunch fried potato. The wait staff is fast, even if the initial line for a table isn't. Sometimes, I sit at the counter to avoid waiting. more
