Hyundai Sonata from Jim Reed Hyundai 3/15/2011

I intended to purchase another Toyota, but got the runaround from salesmen. I contacted many dealers by email to get quotes as I didn't want to haggle with salesmen. I had many responses, but Rahim at Jim Reed was the only one who sent me an actual quote for the car I was interested in. I went to Jim Reed dealership the next day to test drive the car. It was his day off, but Rahim came in to meet me so I could test drive the car. I found him to knowledgeable, courteous, and not pushy. I purchased the car that evening. 2nd Purchase Just as Good as the 1st! 3/10/2011

I purchased my 1st new vehicle at Jim Reed Subaru in 1988. I was a young soldier needing a reliable vehicle and low payments. I found a 1988 Subaru Justy that met my needs. This time I needed a AWD vehicle for my family and business needs and selected the 2011 Hyundai Tucson. My family loves the vehicle. The whole purchasing experience at Jim Reed was very professional. I will be very glad to recommend this auto-dealership to my friends and family. Alex Snook, my salesman, was the highly professional and one of Nashville's BEST! I also appreciate Hyundai giving me a $500.00 military discount....that's awesome! It also says alot that they are going to stand behind the vehicle's engine for 350,000 miles! I think I'll be leaving the ""Jim Reed"" logo on the back of my new vehicle! more

Amazing Service and Great Car! 1/24/2011

I had a wonderful experience at Jim Reed Hyundai. I worked with Rahim and Rania. They were great! I called several other dealerships and found their pricing very competitive. I was particularly interested in the new Sonata versus the Camry, Altima and Accord. Rahim was very informative about the car, its performance and benefits. After talking to all the other dealers I decided to go with Jim Reed Hyundai. The next day I faxed over my information and most of the paperwork was handled prior to my visit. Rania called me back within an hour to tell me I was approved and to pick a color! It was my birthday so I was particularly excited. When I arrived to finalize the paperwork and take possession of the car I was treated like royalty! This was truly one of the best customer service experiences I?ve ever had. I highly recommend them to anyone considering buying or leasing a vehicle. By the way, I love my new sporty Sonata! It?s like a luxury car without the luxury price. Happy Birthday to me! more

I recently purchased my 3rd Hyundi vehicle - this one from Jim Reed. Our sales associate was welcoming, knowlegeable, and made this an overwhelming experience for me. I knew I loved my previous Hyundi autos, but I truly understand what a commitment the associates at Jim Reed make in helping their guests. From the time I walked in the door to the time I walked out, I was pleasantly surprised with the knowledge and caring showed by this organization. My sales associate, Raheem, and the young lady who coordinated the financing, are the most professional, cordial and wonderful folks I have met in a long, long time in dealing with vehicle purchases. I applaud them for their wonderful job and for the wonderful vehicles they sell. I feel as if I have made friends there and look forward to seeing them when I go in to have my wonderful new Tucson serviced. You cannot go wrong in visiting this dealership - it is absolutely one of the best in the business!! more

I purchased a truck from Jim Reed back in Sept and I've been very satisfied since the second a drove on the lot. They worked within my budget and provided all the relavent info needed to make an informed decison. I wasn't pushed or rushed and they made it as painless as possible. Great people to work with 12/14/2010

My wife and I recently purchased two cars from Jim Reed Hyundai and for the most part had a very good experience. Everyone was friendly and professional. Everything that was promised was provided and our sales rep was great to work with. These guys are a little different in that the sales rep plays a relatively small role in the actual sale of the car. He or she shows the car and the actual negotiations are conducted with a sales manager. There is less back and forth for approval, but also the sales person is not able to answer as many questions. They are sort of out of the loop so-to-speak. As we work with the service department I will revise this rating as necessary. more

Good deal 11/11/2010

Recenly bought a new car from Jim Reed, my current car was 13 years old and shook like a lumber wagon at 50 mph! I had investigated the on line stuff and knew what i wanted, everyone was very helpful and eventhough i didnt get the price i really wanted FREE i would buy from them again. more

Great car shopping experience 10/3/2010

I would definately recommend Jim Reed Hyundai to anyone in the market for a new car. I took 2 different cars for a test drive then went to several dealerships to compare other brands. I didn't find any other brand that compared to the value of the Hyundai Elantra and I can't say enough about the dealership. My Salesman and the Sales Manager were very helpful throughout the entire process. This is my first purchase from Jim Reed and probably not my last! more

Shady Business Practices 9/20/2010

Buyer beware if you need your car serviced by a chevy place. I would not recommend taking it here unless you want to pay more than what other dealers will charge you. I recently took my car in for service and although I had an appointment at 8am, I never received a call until 2:45pm that day. They then stated that it would take 2 1/2 hours to repair my vehicle. I told them I was a little preterbed that they are calling me for the first time so late in the day and that I had an appointment at 8am. He stated that it didn't matter that I had an appointment and that appointments only mean that your car will get looked at. And with it being 2:45, that pretty much meant that my car wouldn't get repaired that day. I then contacted several other chevy dealerships to which they told me it would it would only take slightly over 1 hour to repair. With a labor rate of $100 per hour, you do the math. Worst yet is I contacted the service manager twice and left a message and received no return call. I also filled out a Chevy survey to which I stated I would like the manager to call me and he never did. Do yourself a favor..Take your car to a place like Pep boys to where they only took 1 hour to install the part and their overall price was 1/3 the price Jim Reed wanted to charge. more

Easy, and understanding 9/4/2010

I have used Jim Reed for service and have just purchased a new car from them. They were courteous and did not pressure me. They gave me a great deal on the new car and a reasonable price for my trade in. The service on my other car has been priced fairly and they did exactly what was requested. I know I will continue to use them in the future. more

Vacation Saved! 8/4/2010

Last month my family was vacationing in the Dickson, Tn, area when our 08 Hyundai Azera started making a clunking noise on take-off and on bumpy roads. It got worse over the weekend, and I saw the Jim Reed TV ad in Nashville. So Monday morning my wife and I drove Hwy 70 all the way to Nashville to the dealership. When we arrived about 9:30 am we were promptly greeted by your ""service writer?"" Brandon Ottow. I explained my problem and he informed me the Hyundai technicians were booked up that day and if I could leave the car they would take a look at it as soon as they could. I explained I had nowhere to go and or other means of transportation, so we would just wait in the customer lounge. An hour or so later Brandon came in and gave the news. I had a rock that had become lodged between the lower control arm and the engine block. Each time the engine torqued it would grind the rock into the block. They had removed the rock, test drove the vehicle and the problem was gone. He recommended rotating my tires to deferred a new set, and I asked for an oil change. This was all accomplished in less than an hour. Here in Florida it always take 2-4 hours just for an oil change, I think they want us to spend time looking at new cars. I was very, very satisfied by Jim Reed's service department and the personal interest Brandon Ottow took in handling our problem. It made our vacation an enjoyable one instead of a nightmare. We will try having our vehicle service each time we go to Dickson instead of at our local dealer. Brandon and the service technician deserve a raise. more

Worst Dealership In History 7/23/2010

The first tiime I had a problem with my car, ignition went out...it took 9 days to get the part in and fix it and they did not want to give me a loaner...had to fight like hell to get one...this time my AC is acting up and again they do not have the part and this time will not give us a loaner, their solution is to come pick up my broken car and drive it til the part comes in...they assure me it will not further damage my car....GM Jon Reed has not returned our repeated calls...a friend had her car fixed there and they did not even check to see if it was fixed properly...she picked it up and got half way down west end and the problem returned....sorry but what incompetent people in the service department and what an unproffesional GM...i will never take my car there again! if yo don't have parts in stock and are keeping a car for many days you need to provide loaners...or just keep the parts in stock...you are a service department Cons: service department and GM John Reed more

We are a long time customer of Jim Reed and we only service our cars with them. We own a Hyundai and a Subaru and would not go any place else. Wayne Ferebee is the best and the whole sevice team is great more
