Nashville is very lucky to have the Frist Center. Its architecture alone makes the trip worthwhile. The Frist offers world class exhibitions such as the recent French impressionist collection including originals by Monet and others. It is a truly amazing experience that is definitely worth the trip. The center offers a great cafe, interactive children's exhibits, and often local artist exhibits.

I can vividly remember a field trip to the Adventure Science Center over 15 years ago. The museum updates its exhibits frequently and provides not only educational but interactive exhibits that are fun for the whole family. I love taking nieces and nephews when they're in town and they always look forward to the trip. It is an excellent value for the cost of admission.

i remember going to the parthenon with my eighth grade class in 1968. everything was even bigger then. imagine my delight to go with my husband and two sons thirty-three years later. we especially enjoyed the informative tours and the exploring of the greek gods and goddesses. i think my kids will probably take their kids to the parthenon someday.

I've played for weddings at Wightman Chapel for many years and everyone is always very pleased. It has excellent acoustics, great instruments (pipe organ & grand piano), nice dining facilities for receptions, and good service from dedicated staff people. The changing rooms for groomsmen and bridesmaids are comfortable. The chapel and grounds lend themselves to marvellous photo possibilities, too.
Pros: Facilities, ample parking, central location

Belle Meade plantation is a local tourist attraction and a great place to take your out of town visitors. This plantation is beautiful and feels like the Old South. Tours are offered daily and there is an award winning restaraunt on the plantation where you can go for lunch. The restaraunt is somewhat pricey, but the price of the tour of the plantaion is very reasonable.
