If I'm going to a coffee shop, nine out of ten times this is the one. The little house the shop is in, the mismatched furniture, the local art on the wall all make it my kind of place. Located on the edge of Berry Hill and easy to get to from anywhere in town I think it's the best coffee shop in town.
The food is great and from what I understand the coffee is too (I'm not a coffee drinker). However I can speak for their tea, smoothies and hot cocoa and they've all been excellent. Their iced teas are also quite good on those hot summer days.

Becker's consistently offers great baked goods at great prices! I love their birthday cakes, the icing is always delicious. The staff is helpful and friendly. They offer a huge variety or wedding and birthday cakes. Becker's has been around forever and you cannot go wrong with getting something here. Just remember they are not open on Mondays.

The quality of the cakes cannot be beat. You have to order just one day maybe two ahead of time because they leave the box lid propped open and the cake dries out if made too far in advance. They have cupcakes and cookies, and birthday and wedding cakes. The cakes are a bit pricey but they are worth every penny. The shop is old but once you eat the sweets, it doesn't matter.

If you are ever in Nashville you must stop by and try this place. It was one of the coolest coffee shops I have ever been too. The coffee was fabulous and the atmosphere was even better. It is a great place to be alone or talk with a friend. I wish we had one in Bham!

When I worked at Vanderbilt, Provence Breads & Cafe was one of my favorite lunchtime haunts. Their freshly baked breads are phenomenal, which makes any sandwich great. They have a great selection, and all of them that I have tried have been delicious. Their prices are about average for what you'd pay at a deli/cafe in the area. It also has kind of that European cafe feel, which is nice to find in the middle of Nashville. It can be crowded on weekdays at lunchtime, and parking can be a big hassle if you aren't already in the Vanderbilt vicinity.

We used Sweet n Sassy for our wedding, our first anniversary party and then for our son's first birthday. Sweet n sassy is a family affair. i love these cakes. They are delicious and beautiful.
