Patrick was by far the best math instructor I had at Vanderbilt. Without his help I never would have made it through Calc 2. Its amazing how many teachers I've had here can be so ineffective while a younger guy like Patrick can clearly and effectively explain all the concepts. Highly recommend to anyone seeking a math tutor.

The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere zoo is a wonderful asset to Nashville. Our son loves going to see the different animals. They have an excellent educational programs for children to learn about different creatures. The cost is minimal for a few hours of fun. The zoo is adding a giraffe exhibit this spring that we'll definitely be checking out.

Paper moon is a great contribution to Bellevue. The store is in the strip mall behind Antonio's, right near the Harding split from highway 70. The store has a lot of different types of scrapbooking paper, stickers, invitations to stamps, stamps themselves, ink, etc. The women that work in the shop are always more than helpful when I am there and are very pleasant- always chatting with me about my day, etc. Paper moon is a nice change from the larger more "unpersonalized" stores that you can purchase supplies from.

This music store has intruments for sale, does repair and offers lessons. It is small, but nice...the staff is very helpful If you need reeds or cleaner for your horn, this is a good place to go. A lot of local musicians and high school and college music teachers also teach here. It has almost everything you could need.

The Parent Teacher Store is like a toy store, but they sell fun and educational materials. They have so much selection, it is hard to decide what to get when you shop and I always end up overspending. They have materials to teach your child the alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes, how to read, write, do math and so much more. This is a wonderful place for homeshool moms to shop. The prices are reasonable and the staff very knowledgable.

If you like wave pools, this is a nice one. It is small compared to some pools, but it is generally well maintained and the facilities are clean. There is a water slide and picnic area. You can bring in your own drinks and cooler and have lunch there. There are floats and mats for rent for a small price. During the summer when it's open, it can be really crowded. It is in a park that has a nice playground and a skate park area for roller bladers and skate boarders. There is an entrance fee for the pool.

Angel Hair Yarn Company carries a number of high-end yarns, such as Colinette, Rowan, and Schaeffer yarns. Their prices are high, but the true yarn snob won't be able to resist temptation. They also have a very comprehensive magazine and pattern book section and offer classes. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable.
Their store is not always easy to get into or out of during heavy traffic.
PROS: great selection, offers instruction, helpful staff
CONS: expensive!

I was a student of Draughons Jr College awhile back. The education is worthless and the credits do not transfer (a non accredited school) . This is a scam. The Draughons in Chattanooga went out of business leaving students there high and dry!! Don't waste your money.
