Probably my favorite brew pub in Southeast Michigan, and second only to North Peak Brewing Company in...

Worst

I would never return to Grizzly Peak. The service was with out a doubt the worst I have ever had. The server acted as if we were a bother to her ... don't servers understand that ...

Grizzly Peak - worst dining experience in ann arbor 1/13/2010

I would never return to Grizzly Peak. The service was with out a doubt the worst I have ever had. The server acted as if we were a bother to her ... don't servers understand that the customers are not there for them, but in fact the servers are there for the customers? Another reason for not returning... the food was aweful. I ordered a blackened chicken caesar and when I cut into the chicken is was raw in the middle. When I brought this to the servers attention I was told the cooks could "fire" another piece of chicken but that I would have to be charged for it. Unbelievable!!! One of the worst dining experiences in Ann Arbor. Shame on Grizzly Peak and the ownner for allowing that to happen. more

Our favorite 8/5/2006

This is our favorite Ann Arbor restaurant. We can always find something great for everyone here. Particular favorites are the cheddar ale soup and -of course - the beer! Like most Ann Arbor restaurants, the service is mixed, and that is the only knock against Grizzly Peak; we have had excellent service but also terrible service here. If the service was more consistently good, this would be five stars, however the food and the beer makes it worthwhile even if you happen to get a bad server. more

Tasty, tasty soup 4/12/2006

Grizzly Peak makes great beer, and then they take that beer and put it into cheese soup. YUMMERS!! It's unbelievably good. The scallops are also fantastic (hard to believe in the middle of the midwest, but true). The gorgonzola cheese salad is another favorite. The atmosphere is nice, with a lot of wood and a bit of a lodge feel to it. Plenty of booths and they've recently expanded, so more room for everyone. You do have to wait most nights, so get here early. It's also great at lunchtime. more

Grizzly Peak 3/20/2006

This is a very cool Ann Arbor restuarant. Good if you want to go for happy hour, out with the fam, or on a date. The atmosphere is very pleasant, they have great beer, and really good food as well. It can be a long wait on some nights, but it's worth it. They also just opened up a new section (another bar) called The Den, so if you are just stopping in for a drink you may want to head to that section instead of the dining room. Staff is cool and freindly, and prices are affordable. more

Fun Beer Selection 3/18/2006

Grizzly Peak is a fun place to go to try new beers. They always have a seasonal brew on tap that is nice to try. The food is excellent; there are lots of different things on the menu to fit lots of different eating preferences. I would agree with several of the other posters that the only downside is the sometimes crowded feeling. Although it adds to the dark, intimate appeal, sometimes you literally feel like you're on top of the other patrons. more

Excellent! 10/21/2005

This is another of the usually very busy (at least when I try to go) Ann Arbor restaurants. And deservedly so. The menu is varied and has something for everyone. The desserts are also wonderful. My one and only complaint would be that the restaurant is so small that it sometimes feels very crowded. more

Great food and large selection of beer 8/20/2005

Grizzly Peak is a nice restaurant located near Main Street. The food is very good and there is a large selection to choose from. The appetizers are vast, and many times you could make a meal of the appetizers. You'll see many people at Grizzly Peak...from students, to professors, to working professionals, to alum reliving the nostalgia of their school experiences. There is a good beer selection which you can try either by a sampler selection, or by the pitcher. The food is definitely top notch. more

Plus the restaurant has a number of delicious homemade microbrews that are just outstanding for beer lovers. This place is a restaurant in Ann Arbor that you just have to try. more

Great Food 8/19/2005

Grizzly Peak Brewing Company is a great, high-class restaurant. The food is very delicious and the drinks are good also. The dark lighting setting gives the place a romantic look. It is a very well-run restaurant and the service is very good. I have always had great experiences at the Grizzly Peak and I would recommend this restaurant to others. more
