Once I pay the $9 for a meal here, I feel like I need to make the most of it by eating too much. The selection of food is extensive and the quality is average, at best. The more popular items tend to be fresher. The salad bar is huge. I like to grab frozen yogurt cone on my way out. But, because of the price, I don't come here often at all. more

The previous review is in line with the reputation this place once had. Friends said, ""You should really go, like buffets don't you?"" (My svelte form betrays my desires again.) With great reservations, I belly up to the most handsome home-style buffet I have ever seen. Tiny trays in the steam table; fresh goodness just keeps pouring out of the kitchen. All of the standard buffet items, but done very well. Plus greens and sweet potatoes which I believe would, or at least should, qualify as soul food. Some folks have aesthetic problems with the buffet idea, but if you have no such issues, hie thyself to this unexpected wonder. Oh, yeah, lately they have had cook-to-order steak on the buffet.
