Fix Auto Portland

This is the 2nd time I have had work done by Lukas/Fix Auto in 3 years and I could not be more pleased. They are so professional, efficient, pleasant, and quick. Very easy to work with...my insurance company (USAA) recommends them and I can see why. Their set up with Enterprise Rent a Car makes the whole experience so easy. It almost makes me want to have my car hurt more often because of the great service I had both times with Fix Auto Downtown Portland. I worked with Brian Lehman both times and he is fabulous! Oh, and by the way, when I picked up my car it was immaculate...cleaned inside and out..and trust me, it was pretty bad when I left it with them. I had a great experience at Lukas. The customer service was fantastic. They went above and beyond on the repair and my car was even clean when I went to pick it up. I have since been back to Lukas and they have always taken the time and effort to take great care of me. I recommend them to all the people I know. more

I brought my car in for an estimate and the guy missed obvious things (broken tail light) and acted like I was an imposition on him. After he gave me the initial estimate (without the tail light), I asked how much less it would be if I only did some of the repairs and he gave me the new estimate (which included the tail light). I then asked him for a copy of the first estimate with the tail light added in and he told me ""No, I wrote over it to give you the other one. Just add $125 for the tail light."" Now, normally that might be OK, but this is for submitting to my insurance company. Can I just tell them that he ""forgot"" to add on the tail light? Why would they believe me? And it's not like I took up a load of time, I had an appointment and I was out of there in 10 minutes. I had to call the insurance company and explain that the quote being submitted might not be complete and regardless there was no way in hell I'd be bringing my car to Lukas.\r \r So much for customer service. I took my car to Luka's for a simple repair. The weather stripping on both sides had been pulled off, and I needed it replaced before the rainy season. Initially, the staff did such a horrible job, that the manager held my car longer than expected to replace it a second time. That was fine with me, but even after the second time, it was still not properly attached. I can even see the plugs that hold it on from the top. So, of course it leaks. I took it back to complain, but the manager I talked to was very condescending and denied any responsibility for the shotty work. He said the lack of seal around the weather stripping was just the way it fit, and even if they did it again, it wouldn't be any better. Give me a break! more
