Best

Thankfully Chuck is back, and the food and service have improved drastically. My daughter, and a party of about 20 went for dinner New Year's Eve, and everyone raved. My daughte...

We visited Farrago this Sunday. My friend had booked us a table and specifically asked that it be outside. Upon arrival she was told all the outside seating was ""booked"". Deduct...

fantastic pizza 6/28/2006

Gotta have the pizzaq!! It is the best! Went with friends last nioght and had the marghartia pizza- it rocked!! Pros: great food!! Cons: waited for a table more

Average at BEST 3/16/2006

I have visited this restaurant several times, mostly for brunch, and my most recent visit reminded me why I hadn't been there in a while. If you have a large group, be sure to ask them about the brunch time limitations/seating, and if you speak to someone re: special accommodations, be sure to get a name! The food is average, and actually, this last time I went was the only time I have ever had decent service-in the past, it has been HORRIBLE. The host stand in general is less than pleasant, and I will never take a large group there again...if I ever go back, that is! Pros: bottomless mimosas, good patio atmosphere Cons: won't split checks, poor overall service more

Too high expectations 1/23/2006

The two times I've been there for dinner on a weekend, we had large groups of 15+. The pizzas I got were good (I recommend the one with spinach) and everyone was happy with their food and drinks. The bill came and they would not separate it for us. The manager turns the AC up and it becomes HOT when we are eating. No lingering for us. Its too bad since I've heard GREAT things about this place. Never again will I recommend this place for large groups. Pros: consistant food, reasonable prices Cons: parking, AC more

Mmmm... 11/11/2005

The ""fusion"" menu is fantastic! I have to say that I have been going to the restaurant for about a year now and the food is pretty much consistant on quality. The service is great. I used to dine two times a week to see me favorite server (Casie). The other servers are nice-but can be seen around the tables too often. Point being: you can become someones regular customer, you are not just a number. Chuck & Garret are great...very nice but if something goes wrong they will not comp anything to make sure that you return. I reccomend this place to all my friends. You can sit down for a long dinner or get out in a hurry...just make sure you tell them you are on a time limit. Overall, I hope to never see this place go down. Pros: Service, Food, Free parking more

Pretty good 8/19/2005

Overall, I like Farrago.....of course I love Asian Fusion. The dishes are interesting and tasty--tho nothing I've had will knock your socks off. the place does have quite a large bar area that is nice for sitting to have a good drink. Pros: Quick Service, Reasonable Prices, Great bar more

One of My Favorites 7/15/2005

The food represents an outstanding value in Houston dining. From appetizers to entrees, I've never been disappointed. The fusion of exotic, complex flavors are thrilling to the palate. As an example, the rosemary and lemon miso beurre blanc sauce on the delectably (mesquite) roasted chicken, will have your taste buds begging for more. And the contemporary interior is very well done. If it's too noisy in the front dining room, try the back room or the remarkably peaceful back patio. Overall assessment: Highly recommended! Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere more

Too bad to be true 7/11/2005

A fusion food that tastes like authentic dishes left in the garden for a week. I do not recommend the food nor the dull contemporary room gone mad. Used to be much better when it first opened. Pros: service, ambiance, location Cons: food, chairs, music more

not too bad 2/25/2005

the food is decent and the staff is nice. the menu is kind of limited and the portions rather small, but so is the price! good place to go if you want to grab a quick bite before a night out on the town. more

Martinis, martinis and more martinis! 2/18/2005

I am a huge Martini fan, and Farrago's has two of the best martini's of all time: Pink Lemonade Martini, Bellini Martini. Farrago's is my preference for cocktails in Midtown, the granite top bar is sophisicated, classy and very modern. The drink menu is very extensive, but the drink prices can set you back a pretty penny, even at their unimpressive happy hour (no martini specials, only beer and wine). The food menu is somewhat limited, but suprisingly very affordable. I highly recommend Farrago's for drinks, dinner, and weekend brunch! Pros: pink lemonade martini, bellini martini, inexpensive food Cons: crowded bar, martini prices more

too bad 7/19/2004

All in all, our meal experience was very disappointing. The pizza (usually delicious) was burned to a bland crisp. On top of that, the portions seem to have shrunk- it was the smallest 'large' we've ever had at Farrago. Numerous mistakes were made with our order, and although staff were very nice about it, they were not so nice as to comp anything. It will probably be a while before we return. more

Great Mussles 6/5/2004

Great Mussles and curries. Excellent service. Very relaxed atmosphere. Not expensive. more

Continues to be great! 5/9/2004

After many, many meals and special events, I feel compelled to comment. Farrago has become my group's favorite venue for group events (and my favorite venue for a casual meal any time) because of the convenient location, varied and well priced menu, friendly staff and festive atmosphere. Keep up the good work! Pros: Great food for price, The best for a crowd, Convenient location more

I love this place 2/27/2004

I live at the post so it is easy for me to walk over to this place. They have modern art on the walls that is for sale. The menu is quite small and never seems to change. I have to say though everything on the menu is great. I have yet to have something bad here. They also have a great Sunday brunch with bottomless Mimosas. more

When picking desert... 11/15/2003

Pass on the creme brulee, and dive into the zesty pumpkin cheesecake. It's incredible. Pros: Great dessert, Pleasant Patio, Trendy bar more

Sunday Brunch 7/21/2003

This was a great place to go for the Sunday Brunch. I loved the bottomless mimosa's and the crowd was fun and friendly. My friends and I had a great time there. more

decent place to eat downtown 7/19/2003

Farrago is located in a nice area with a couple of cool little shops to browse in after eating. I felt that the calamari was overseasoned a bit. The pistachio pesto was good but way too rich. The rotisserie chicken had a nice sweet glaze on the skin. more

Nice Restaraunt - Below Average Food 6/19/2003

The restaraunt is great for a quick business lunch but the food is below average. The calimari was overly salted and the chicken sandwich was very bland - perhaps they did not even marinate it. My lunchmates crawfish pasta look like it came out of a can and someone stuck a piece of shrimp on top. I am glad my lunch was so cheap because had it been more I might have asked for a refund. You might be better off going across the street to another restaraunt. Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Food, Service more

Great affordable place 6/2/2003

There is always a variety of tasty food. Prices are very reasonable and the service is good. Pros: food, price more

A few words re: Farrago 5/3/2003

The Sunday brunch is fantastic w/ tasty, bottomless mimosas that creep up on you in a most pleasant manner. The spinach souffle is one of my favorite brunch items, but alas there is so much from which to choose. However, lunch and dinner there are stupendous with great fusion creations. Cannot go wrong w/ the spin city pizza or any of the fish creations. more
