You won't believe the caliber of entertainment offered here for free! We often pick up tickets on Saturday morning for the evening performance. You can see th symphony, Houston Grand Opera, Ebony Opera Guild, ballet, musicals and so much more. I especially recommend that you don't miss the Taiko Drum Festical (usually in September). That performance is actually spellbinding!

More
The Orange Show Foundation for Visionary Arts is an organization that is committed to preserving and promoting outsider art. The agency's crown jewel is the former home of Mr. Jeff McKissack. Mr. McKissack was a curious character who had odd obsessions and the motivation and technical skills to do something about it. He transformed his home into what he referred to as a shrine to oranges. The rest of the world calls him a folk artist or outsider artist, possibly unaware of the true import of his own work. What is left though is a charming little world alive with the imagination of a sincere old man. Everyone ought to see this unlikely masterpiece. Whatever you call it, it's very cool.

This is a Museum that everybody should go to at some point. They go deeply into this horrible time in history and it is very upsetting, as it should be. You will most likely come out of this thinking a bit differently and learning a lot of things you did not know about the holocaust beforehand. This is a wonderful museum and I loved it. Everyone should make the time to go.

This is a wonderful park. Lots of fun things to do and see. We usually pack a picnic luch and make a day of it. The have a "mini zoo" consisting of TX longhorns, bison, pigs, goats, donkeys, ostriches, emus, white tail deer and more. There's a bird area and duck pond.
The park is full of beautiful shade trees. They offer several playgrounds and pavilions which you can reserve for free for parties and picnics. They also have soccer fields, baseball areas, basketball & tennis courts. There's even a horseshoes area. Many people use the walking trails that go all around the park.
This park is perfect for kids of all ages.

The Menil Collection is one of the places I ALWAYS take out of town guests. Everyone I have taken there has loved it! The atmosphere is great and the art is fun and funky and ethnic. It is small enough that you can get through the whole museum in a few hours, or you can just spend an hour to so there going through one of the collections. When you are finished at the museum, head over to the Rothko chapel for some meditation - it's just a short walk away!

Bikesport did an outstanding job in the bike fit process. While on the trainer, Rey asked me if I was having certain problems while riding. When I said yes, he offered various solutions for me. I appreciated his knowledge of fitting women on bikes and knowing that just shortening a stem may not be the best option for women. He asked good questions and provided several options, even some that did not require an additional investment. I was very pleased and impressed with his service. I also did not purchase my bike there, and that was not a problem. I will continue to go to Bikesport for all my biking needs.

Cyclone offers road and mountain bikes.
I stopped by one afternoon to purchase a road bike, and the owner of the shop was very helpful. He let me ride a half dozen different models, taking time to show me the features of each.
After going to several different shops, I ended up buying a Felt bike from Cyclone.
