I cannot say enough wonderful things about my favorite hair stylist, Laura Roark, at Eye Candy Salon. My year long search for a stylist that could cut, color and style my coarse, curly hair ended after my first visit with Laura. The difference was AMAZING...not only in the way I look and feel about my hair but in styling time and the health of my hair. Total strangers stop and ask me who does my hair which has never happened to me before! Thank you Laura for helping me love the hair I used to hate. I am a client for life! more

If you notice that several of the good reviews here are for Tony Caldwell, that is for good reason. He is the most talented stylist working in Nashville, but he is no longer at EyeCandy. He is now at Parlour 3 in Brentwood! He has been cutting my hair for almost ten years since he was at Trim. He has been cutting my wife's hair for a few years now as well and she loves every cut and style she has gotten from him. So if you are looking for a killer cut, you know where to find Tony now. After all, loyalty is to the person who actually cuts your hair, not to the building in which they work, right? more

over a year ago, i went to eyecandy for a consultation about a service they were advertising - a ""beach wave"". i was assured by laura that it was super gentle - an aveda product specifically for highlighted hair. i decided to come back the next week to have it done. i will never know what went wrong. was the product applied incorrectly, left on too long? was it a bad batch? whatever the case, my hair was ruined - root to end. laura tried to comb it out after the shampoo and she must have realized that it was breaking and had melted. it was like trying to comb wet cotton candy. it fused together in clumps. she sent me home with a wet head and said not to wash it for two days and after that it would be just fine. as it dried later that day, i was horrified by my appearance. my hair was ""fried"". i called and saw the manager, tony, who tried to fix it with treatments but it was ruined and unfixable. i called aveda and was told that it was my fault - that i could have too much of a certain vitamin in my bloodstream that caused their product to ruin my hair. my hair broke off in clumps and was the texture of straw. i cried for days, was embarrassed to leave the house and didn't work for months - i'm an actress. it's a year and 3 months later and i have about an inch left of that ruined hair. so, in a few more months, i'll cut that last inch and have healthy hair again. i've never appreciated the health of my hair more. and i think you know what i think about eye candy, aveda and laura. more

I naturally have brown hair, and have been getting highlights for years to make my hair a natural looking blonde. I just moved to Nashville and needed to find a new salon, and chose Eyecandy. My hair was already a dark blonde, and I asked for full highlights, asking to be blonder. Everything looked fine at first glance, except that I noticed that she didn't even bother to touch the ends of my hair, so I had blonde roots and dark blonde ends. When I went home, I noticed chunks of hair that she had missed, showing my re-growth, and even got asked if I colored my hair myself. Ive never had so much brown left in my hair before, due to lack of foils. If I paid for full highlights, that's what I expect to get, and I felt completely ripped off. I complained and went back to the salon for them to fix it, but all I got was excuses about why my hair didn't turn out, and she blamed it on previous hairdressers, acting like I never got my hair done before. She put more highlights in and removed most of the brown, but she over-processed the hair on my forehead, and also missed it with toner!! So now I have almost white blonde hair contrasting against the rest when I have my hair back. Ive never had my hair done that badly before. more

The first time I was at Eye Candy was to get my hair and make-up done to be in my brother's wedding. They were so very welcoming and did such a great job! On my way out they gave me a coupon to come back. I needed a stylist and colorist at the time because mine was moving out of town. I came back to see Cassie was thrilled with my color and cut. She takes the time to get it just how I like it everytime no matter what it takes. She is fantastic with color changes! I see her about every 6-8 weeks and couldn't be more pleased! this is a must try especially if you are new in town and need to get established with someone again! more

I recently decided to make a BIG change with my hair to the tune of having 2 FEET cut off of it to donate to Locks of Love, and I wanted to find a good, solid and modern salon to take good care of me in the process. I wanted to find a place that was youthful yet mature with up to the minute insights on hair trends and styles with friendly staff and a good vibe. Jessica is a family friend and it took me a little while to go sit in her chair for that very reason. I'm glad I did - she's 'whimsical and professional' at the same time. I can tell her what I'm thinking of and she creates it. I love it that the salon stays up to date on product and styles and that ""my"" stylist is so actively involved in the fashion scene in Nashville; she's knowledgeable about current trends. Eyecandy is in a convenient location too - close to Music Row, downtown, Green Hills - and there's free parking. That's a nice change for me! more

I was lucky enough to be referred to Ashlee Sexton almost six years ago, and since then, I haven't let anyone else touch my locks. Ashlee is great with all types of hair (mine is thick, course & curly) & the absolute best when it comes to color. Wherever Ashlee works, I and most of my friends have migrated to the new salon, including Eye Candy. The atmosphere is relaxed and everyone on the staff is very professional. After moving to Nashville a little over 3 years ago, I asked around for a good stylist that I could trust. Immediately I was referred to Ashlee, and she's been wonderful from the beginning. I started going to her when she was with a different salon and was so happy to follow her to EyeCandy. It's such a better experience over there! At my first appointment with her, she really took into account my hair texture and weight, my face shape and the amount of time I like to spend on my hair. She made a few suggestions and away we went! I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair for so long without really changing the look! Every time I visit Ashlee, it's a blast! She's a joy to talk to while she's cutting your hair. She makes sure I leave happy with the way my hair looks with both cut and color! I leave with my hair looking so healthy! In fact, I've been so happy with the way my hair is that my 2 sisters even drive down from Cincinnati to go to Ashlee! If that's not a testament to how great she is, I don't know what would be! more

I have gone to Laura for about 3 years and am still as pleased now as I was in the beginning. She has managed to keep my highlights and color natural looking. She also developed a good technique for a partial service to buy me a couple of extra weeks between the over-all highlights to save some money. I appreciate that she wasn't just about the big ticket sale, but the long-term relationship. I would and do recommend Eyecandy to my friends! I went to Eyecandy for a hair cut and highlights. I just moved back to the Nashville area after being gone for a while, and wanted to find a new salon. I chose Eyecandy because of their many great reviews. Specifically, I had read many positive things about Ashlee; so, I decided to give her a try. I told her that I wanted a trim; because, I'm trying to grow my hair out. It's at a length where the ends in the back are starting to flip outwards, which I told her I hate. She said she would cut the back so that this would not happen. I also told her I wanted the layers in my hair reshaped so they would look good again. She said she would do that. After doing the highlights and washing my hair, I went back to the chair. She turned the chair away from the mirror, so I couldn't see what she was doing. I thought she was just blow drying my hair. When the blow dryer turned off, she said I was done. The overall length of my hair was fine. However, the layers were gone, except for a few blunt layers that don't blend well into the rest of my hair. The worst part was that the back of my hair was still flipped outwards. She had done nothing to correct this. I looked upset, and she did what she could to fix some of the bluntness around my bangs. She didn't even try to straighten the back of my hair. I would have asked her to continue, but she had already started working on another client, who she needed to attend to. I left dissatisfied. I did see a lot of other people walking out of there with great hair cuts and color. I wish I had gone to another stylist. Pros: the highlights Cons: the haircut more

I just used my Groupon this week and Jessica was my stylist. I appreciated her professionalism and expertise. When I told her she could do whatever she wanted to do with my hair she suggested a color I had never used before. We went with it and I LOVE it! My experience at the salon was very enjoyable. The girls at the front desk were very friendly and accessible. The stylists were very professional and did a great job listening to what i wanted done to my hair. You don't find that very often at salons in the city. I recently started going to Eyecandy salon... thanks to one of their very talented stylists, Jessica Mallum! Jessica has done my hair on several occasions over the past five years for fashion shows and photo shoots. She moved from Nashville for a short time and upon her return asked me to be a model for Eyecandy and the Brideroom for a upcoming fashion show. When I arrived at the salon, for the advertisment shoot, I was immediatly greeted by Danielle at the front desk and several other members of the staff. Jessica did an amazing job on my hair with very subtle peekaboo highlights and long soft layers and then styled my hair in tight ringlet curls for the shoot! As a working model it's very important for me to have great hair and when Jessica does it... there is no question about the outcome! Thanks Jessica and thank you Eyecandy Salon! I recently moved to Nashville and Eyecandy is close to where I live so I decided to give it a try. Three days after I got my hair foiled, I noticed it was almost completely faded. I spent close to $150 on their services so I thought I should go in and talk to them about my hair. The girl at the front desk was very rude when I asked to talk to the girl who did my hair. When she finally came up to the desk I showed her the fade out- and she said it was my fault and I should have purchased their products. I couldn't believe it! The girl at the front desk got very defensive and said I was ""one of those people where nothing would make me happy."" I told her that wasn't true- all I wanted was a color that could last at LEAST 3 days. Finally we came to a compromise- I told her either I wanted my money back or to have my hair redone- which seems fair. She agreed to redo it. Lets just say I should have just got my money back. The place may seem classy- but these women are stuck in high school and have no idea what their doing. Don't go to Eyecandy. It's a waste of your money and time. Pros: ZERO.
