I've been going to Jennifer Barnes at eyecandy salon for a while now. She is absolutely wonderful! Jennifer is very dedicated to her work. She always listens to my thoughts or concerns and makes me feel at ease. I've been to salons in the past where the stylist was so busy conversing with other stylists or even on a cell phone that they didn't seem to care what my hair ended up looking like in the end. Eyecandy is definitely NOT that sort of place! You are very likely to receive numerous compliments on your hair shortly after leaving this salon. I also love that I can go in and get my hair cut and get all of my Bumble and Bumble products all in one visit. Pros: Extremely Nice & Professional, full line of bumble & bumble more

I moved to Nashville and spent about 1 year trying to find the best lace to go. After months of bad highlights and just getting a trim (i was too afraid to have then cut it!) I was told by a friend to go to Emily at Eye Candy. OMG! Most Amazing color and cut I had in the longest time!!! Emily is so great with color- especially blondes (well I can only speak bc I am a blonde) I have told all of my co-workers and friend to go see her and they have fallen in love too! I am to busy to put alot of time into my hair and she has put together a plan so the changes in my hair are never to drastic. It ends up being the perfect blonde come June and the perfect ""winter"" blonde in December... LOVE EYE CANDY! Pros: Staff, talent, location, trendy, prices Cons: can't think of any! more

I went here on the recommendation of a girlfriend when I moved to Nashville. I loved her color and went to Laura, her colorist. She gave me the absolute PERFECT BLONDE. My hair never looked better. Unlike many stylists I've encountered with big egos and an agenda, Laura listened and got it just right. She gave me the best blonde I've ever had and the perfect cut. I went here the whole time I was in college and during this time I experimented with several haircuts - long, short, bangs, etc. Laura always got it just right. I brought my mom here during a visit and Laura got rid of the brassiness her regular stylist has been trying to amend for years. I now live in NYC but am seriously considering flying back to Nashville just to get my hair done at Eyecandy - I even schedule my last appointment around my homecoming visit to Vandy. I wish I could find a salon as great and as affordable in Manhattan! Eye Candy has a very nice atmosphere and a friendly and professional staff. Tony Caldwell is very thorough and precise with my cut and I always walk out very happy. Great location and great service. I highly recommend Eye Candy! more

I just started going to Eye Candy a few years ago, and I haven't let anyone else cut my hair since. I have really fine, thin hair so finding someone who can cut my hair well is a tough find. The first time I went into Eye Candy, I went in with a really awful haircut by someone else (not from Eye Candy). I had been referred to Tony by a friend so I thought I'd give him a try. I sat down and told him to do whatever he thought would look good for my hair and face-shape and I left looking like a completely different person. I haven't let anyone else but Tony cut my hair since. I dye my hair myself, and the day before my last appointment I totally fried my hair. I was just looking for a cut, but he completely repaired my hair - you can't even tell I damaged it at all. I know that this salon is a little pricey, but you get everything you pay for and more. I'm a poor college student and I save up money just so I can get my hair done by Tony. Take it from a picky salon-chooser: you can't top this salon. WOW!!! I totally lucked out on this one. I am a self-confessed hairdo-whore who wants party hair every weekend but refuses to go it alone. When my girlfriends and I booked a trip to Nashville for the Country Music Awards I knew we had to find a place for hair and make up. I went to city search and typed in ""trendy Nashville Salon"" and Eye Candy popped up. Best Salon Experience I Have EVER had! They accomodated our large party and had us red carpet ready in no time. Tony was my stylist and he gave me the BEST 'do I have ever had. He flat ironed my hair into beautiful curls!? He really is very talented. All of the girls raved about the experience. YOU MUST GO THERE! more

LOVE this salon and LOVE Deana!! She always does a fantastic job! Awesome customer service, great haircut, and fantastic atmosphere. After the non-stop week I'd had, and knowing that for the weekend ahead I needed to look and feel my best...I found myself at EyeCandy- and it was such a treat! Deana (so cute) is very down to earth, not a pretentious egomaniac you usually find at a posh salon. She did an unbelieveable job- the best I've ever looked (!) and I felt really good too!! Deana's personality and skill melted the week of stress away and I was able to strut into the week-end feeling gorgeous! Thank you Deana!! I had had my hair cut twice by Kip and he is wonderful! I never got compliments on my hair before, but now everyone asks who cuts it! My hair is very fine and straight as a board, so to be able to make it look like anything more than blah is a real feat! They are a little pricey though. I think I have always paid around $100, with tip, for JUST a cut. Cons: pricey, I think. more

I really enjoy going to the salon because I feel like my hair stylist will recommend ideas for the type of cut that would be good for me which is something my old hairy stylist never did. I usually walk out very pleased. The pricing is quite a bit higher than what I used to pay, but I'm not as religious about getting my hair done either....not like some people. The only thing I don't like, which most people probably won't care about, is the fact that they ask you how much you want to tip before they run your credit card. I feel as if that is a little invasive. The last time I went & was asked this question, I left realizing that I didn't tip as much as I had wanted. When you are having to try and figure out a tip in your head really quick while they are staring at you, I know for me, I got a little flustered. I am new to Nashville and have been looking for a new salon and stylist. I was referred to EYECANDY from my neighbor. She told me that she saw Derrick, but thought that any of the people there would be great. So i called for an appt., and was able to get in with Derrick for my color and Debbie for my haircut. Both of them are very talented and hillarious. My experience at Eyecandy was amazing. From the frontdesk girl to the stylist themselves. I enjoyed myself very much and i looking amazing as well. After spending over 20 years as a vocalist in the music industry, I have had the best of the best when it comes to hair, makeup and nails. I have performed on ABC, NBC, CBS etc. and experienced some of the top stylists not only in the nation, but in the world. I was so excited to finally find a salon in Nashville that was worthy of that status. There are some really good salon choices in Nashville, but if you want the Pros, go to EYECANDY, the absolute best of the best Nashville has to offer. Judy does my color, and it has never looked better. Her cuts are fabulous. The other artist's there are amazing, as well. EYECANDY is definitely my salon of choice in Nashville, by far. more

I am extremely disappointed with my last visit to this salon. On my first visit I received a cut and color and the charge was $100. On my last visit the price magically increased to $195. I feel like I was a victim of ""bait and switch."" Granted, the cut and color was great, it was NOT worth this price. I will never go back there again and do not recommend them to anyone that is on a budget looking for a great cut and color. I know that I can receive the same results at another salon for half this price. Always ask for the prices up front so you don't get taken like I did. Recently made a visit to Eyecandy and the whole experience was great. Love the building the salon is located in. It makes for a great vibe and cool location. And to my surprise, considering the area of town they are in (great area by the way), there was actually parking to be found. Definitely another plus. My haircut was done by Judy and, honestly, it is the best cut I've had by far. Seems par for the course though as I have two friends who have had their cuts done by Tony and Debbie, and color by Derrick, and they absolutely rave about them. Their cuts and color always look amazing. The rest of the staff had great personalities and were friendly as well. Oh, and great selection of products up front. And last, the woman at the front counter...the nicest and friendliest that I've dealt with in a salon.
