Highly recommend this place. It's wayyy better than Cremant and comparable to Le Piche.\r The food is served as tapas so one can try a variety of dishes. My husband and I ordered 4 items and were content. The seared duck tapa (unofficial name) is probably the best duck preparation I have had - it is an unforgettable flavor. Amazing, Cute, Quaint place in town..... It's actually pretty hard to described that PERFECT little gem downtown seattle it is SO French! My boyfriend and I just love it! The bartender speaks a perfect French after spending a few years on the French Riviera, and the Owner/Chef is from Cannes! I don't know what kind of business model this restaurateur follows, but I know it's nothing to depend on. On the recommendation of a friend who had a great meal here, I scheduled three separate lunch meetings at Entre Nous over the course of several weeks. All, I note, were within the hours posted on the door.\r \r On the first occasion, the door was locked, but after some hesitation a man who I must conclude was Stephane Ohayon himself opened the door and proceeded to give us service. The food was good and made me want to give the restaurant another try.\r \r On the second occasion, the door was locked and there was no one to let us in.\r \r On the third occasion, the door again was locked but the man I assume to be Stephane Ohayon reluctantly opened the door, only to announce that lunch was over, even though the posted lunch hours were not yet expired.\r \r I've made my last plans to eat at Entre Nous.\r \r UPDDATE: This place is closed. No great loss in my opinion. Pros: Good food, when you can get it. Cons: You can't depend on its being open; ignore the hours posted on the door. more

For a restaurant that is so well hidden in the side of a building, it really needs more publicity!!! My family, husband and I went here for my birthday dinner and it is probably going to be one of the most memorable birthday evenings ever. The ambiance is simple yet quaint, with a definite French flair. The service was personable and friendly but professional. And the food......!! Wonderful flavors, beautiful display, small portions yes, but we found it to be a perfect amount to truly appreciate the chefs achievements. \r Our waiter was from Provence and with his very attractive French accent, guided us through the menu with near perfect English. The chef made an appearance, which I always like to see, to check on a couple dishes he had sent out. (the steak in mint sauce was my favorite)\r I could go on and on, but over all it was an evening to be remembered and definitely a place we will be returning to! Pros: That one's stomach can only hold so much! Cons: As always...parking in downtown Seattle can be a chore! Nothing to do with the restaurant, however. more

This was a pleasant suprise in downtown Seattle. As a visitor to the city, having a birthday celebration, this charming experience was tops. The waiter was friendly and attentive with great suggestions.and a sense of humor that enhanced our dining pleasure. We sampled the Duck, Coquille saint Jacques aux champignons (Scallops), Asperges et Jambon cru de parme (asperges wrapped with ham), Maricots verts et pignons (Sauted green beans with pine nuts), Tomate farcis (tomoto stuffed with barley) and Beignet de courgette (Zucchini fritters). All of the dishes were perfectly prepared and served in a timely manner (Hot and ready to enjoy). The wine selection (French only) complemented the food and again the waiter was knowledgeable and availible with suggestions. This was an extremely pleasant unhurried reasonably priced experience enjoyed by all. Pros: Great food and Service, an unexpected joy. Cons: As everywhere in Seattle parking. more

We passed by in our way to the luggage store next door and afterward we came for lunch.\r The waiter that later claimed to be French, received us and asked if we had a reservation (for lunch?!), we didn?t, so he just asked us to choose a table with a rather indifferent attitude. It took him 10 min to bring the menus and 5 more to bring water.. My husband (fluent in French after studying there and visiting many times) was looking forward of trying a new French restaurant and tried to use the opportunity to use his French when ordering, but the server with a cold tone replayed ?let?s speak English only, it is hard for me to go back & forth?, no smile there. 15 min later, he brought the first dish, and the second one 15 min later. They don?t give bread. At that time we really just wanted to leave; we asked for the check and it took him 10 -15 min to bring it, and kept passing by with food orders for other tables. At one point, he said he was by himself serving, no bartender or someone else to help him out.\r The food was good, but difficult to enjoy when they make the client feel unwelcomed.\r more

I made reservations at Entre Nous for Valentine?s Day after reading in The Falcon that it was one of the most romantic restaurants in Seattle. Although their website said that it was French tapas, when I made the reservation, the person explained to me (in a very thick French accent) that the menu for Valentine?s day was going to be a four course duet menu where one could choose between three different options for an appetizer and entree and then also have a salad/cheese course and dessert. At under $100 a couple, it sounded divine to me (plus, the French accent made me excited to think I had actually found an authentic French restaurant owned by a real live French person and not a wannabe American).\r \r Oh boy did we strike gold with Entre Nous!\r \r Entre Nous turned out to be a very small and very intimate place. I am not sure if they did it strictly for Valentine?s Day or if there are always candles, flowers and a movie on the ceiling, but as soon as we walked in we felt we had come to the right place for our Valentine?s date! The place is absolutely adorable!\r The food was also incredible. Although service was a little on the slow side (to be fair ? every table was booked as was the bar), we didn?t mind as it gave us plenty of time to get googly eyed over each other. After all, what else is Valentine?s Day about? We each choose different options on their coursed duet menu. I went with the seafood options and my husband went with the meat options so all in all we got to sample scallop tartare, seared scallops, carpaccio, beef kabob, duck and ling cod. Delicious ? Entre Nous should consider marketing its sauces because they were THAT good! For dessert we also had a creme brulee and a hot goey chocolate cake. \r \r Yum. Yum. The concierge at the Westin recommended this place for lunch when we asked for a quiet spot that served delicious fare. She really knew what she was talking about. There were four of us in all, so we each ordered different things. I was expecting the typical French serving where you have to stop at McDonalds on the way home to fill up your rumbling stomach, but that definitely was not the case at Entre Nous! Our plates came out of the kitchen piping hot and spilling over. They have the best French fries I have ever had. The next time I am in downtown Seattle, I am definitely going to this restaurant again. Pros: Perfect Pomme Frites, Massive Sandwiches. Cons: Walked past it twice before we found it. more

I picked Entre Nous to have dinner with a girlfriend before an evening show at the Moore Theater around the corner. This quaint little restaurant is easy to miss - tucked away on Stewart between second and third ave across from the Macy's parking lot. \r \r But what a find! Like finding a little diamond when I'd not hoped for more than a nondescript fare that would keep me warm on that chilly Halloween night.\r \r Between my friend and I, we had the mussels (the basil butter sauce is delectable - flecked with bits of green peppers and onion), the seared duck that comes with a very flavorful Provencal sauce that just BEGS for baguette), hot off the flames haricot verte with caramelized onions and pine nuts, scallops cooked in a rich, buttery cream sauce with mushrooms, and a wonderful chopped salad with Gouda and apple. We were so stuffed at the end we had to walk a couple of blocks so we wouldn't sleep through our performance. \r \r It was an indulgence alright, but worth every morsel.\r \r And our waitress was wonderful - she recommended the scallops and also that we order the baguette. So was our chef - really down to earth and friendly! I am sure I'll return with more friends. more

I went here with a group of girlfriends (whom I studied with in France a few years back) a little while ago and I can't wait to go back. Entre Nous is tucked into a very unsuspecting place, which adds to the quaint feel. Between the four of us we ordered five dishes to share...more than enough, but all of it was so good. The zucchini fritters were particularly delicious as were the desserts which the chef brought out ""on the house? after he chatted with us for a few minutes about the food. The ambience was great with an old movie projected on the ceiling. But the major draw is definitely the food and the extremely reasonable prices for the supreme quality. I went on a date to Entre Nous 8/24 and it was my first time there.\r \r I was very impressed. The wine selection is excellent and every plate on the menu sounds delicious. The menu is seasonal, and because of this you can expect new and different items on the menu. Some restaurants just don't do that anymore and it is to be commended.\r \r The stuffed tomatoes, stuffed onion, the duck confit and the lamb nicoise salad are HIGHLY suggested... that pretty much is what we had and i'll order it again .... once i get through the rest of the menu that is.\r \r But what do you expect? The chef is originally from france and he knows how to do things right. the decorating in the place is moody and relaxing... one suggestion.. better chairs please... i found the chairs very uncomfy. \r \r But criticism aside, the service is excellent and if you're lucky enough you can meet the chef. I would hesitate to call it the MOST romantic restaurant I've ever been to, but agree with the first reviewer on everything else. The food is great--though the portions do vary. It's best to ask before ordering just depending on how hungry you are. The couple that owns it will charm your socks off. It feels very authentic and welcoming, even though it is an odd location. (Tough block. Kudos to the owners for sprucing it up.) Great for lunch or dinner, or just to pop in and unwind with a drink. I haven't tried brunch yet, but have high hopes. My husband is French and I can honestly say that we have eaten at every French restaurant in the city?some more often than others. So, after our friends told us about a new ?authentic? French restaurant that opened up downtown, we were in a hurry to get there. Although we had originally planned to go with another couple, they cancelled at the last minute so we wound up there on Friday night by ourselves...and could not have been happier about it. First, Entre Nous is probably the most romantic place I have ever been to. The walls are a deep wine red, it has black and white checkered floors, there are flowers and candles everywhere and to top it off ? there was an old black and white movie playing on the ceiling. After being offered several varieties of water from an adorable waitress, we got a chance to scour the menu, which was no easy feat considering there were about 30 different things on it. I can sum it up by saying?I wanted everything! After ordering several dishes (duck breast, a lamb loin tower, mussels, a stuffed onion and green beans), we sat sipping our wine and chuckling over the reading material on our table?a guide to understanding French etiquette. Our food came out in no particular order and although some dishes were bigger than others, it all tasted divine. In my husband?s words, ?this is exactly the food that I grew up on.? When we thought the evening could not get any better, the chef came out to greet us. It turns out that he is also the owner and is originally from the South of France, too!
