The food here is excellent and inexpensive. If you're in Fenway for any reason such as for a Sox game, the MFA, or the ISG, then you absolutely must stop by El Pelon for some good...

Best Mexican Food in Boston 4/16/2006

The food here is excellent and inexpensive. If you're in Fenway for any reason such as for a Sox game, the MFA, or the ISG, then you absolutely must stop by El Pelon for some good eats. There's nothing on the menu that's bad, though my favorite by far is their taquitos. Unfortunately, they're oftentimes no longer available later in the day. Also, don't forget to get your burrito card stamped. You're certain to earn many free burritos after coming here over and over. more

Yum! 4/13/2006

It's cheap, and it's good, what more can you ask for? They're fast to give you your grub, and it's consistently good. Pretty basic food, but it's totally worth it. Very enjoyable. Not always easy to find seating though since the seating area is very limited (especially when it's too cold to eat outside). more

El Pelon just okay 4/11/2006

I tried this restaurant in my attempt to find good Mexican food in Boston. I have tried the taquitos, quesadillas, and tacos. I found the food to be just okay and kind of greasy. I also wasn't impressed by their salsa. I prefer Boca Grande and Anna's Taqueria over this restaurant. more

Great Tacos and Burritos 2/4/2006

El Pelon Taquieria is a great place to go for your Mexican food fix. They are mostly known for their tacos and burritos and are most frequented during the lunch time rush. This restaurant is tiny, but there is an outdoor patio which makes it a better place to go in the warmer months of spring and summer. more
