If you want some more than the standard curry and rice that you find at most Indian restaurants, then come to Tanjore. They have a good variety from all over India, so they don't just specialize in one region. The food is extremely good and you'll certainly find something you like. There's never been a long wait, though you should definitely make a reservation.

While this place might well be the only Korean BBQ in town, it would still be the best regardless. The meat is marinated perfectly and tastes great straight off the grill at your table. Pair it with some good Korean beer, and you'll have to roll home. The only downside is that it seems to be short staffed. I went once on a Saturday, and there was only one person running around trying to take care of everything. Once the place started filling up, it was impossible to get anything.

This food has good Thai food that comes out quickly. It's great for both lunch and dinner, and they have more than just paid thai and drunken noodle. Do look into other dishes. One time, they had a great special, which was a tempura soft shell served with a spicy Thai sauce, which was just to die for. Another favorite is the Phucket noodle, but that might just be because of the way we say it.

This isn't some fancy high tea like you might find at the Ritz or Four Seasons. Instead, you'll find a huge selection of teas from around the world and a great sandwich menu. When I pair a quality darjeeling with a smoked salmon sandwich, I feel extremely satisfied and happy. This is a great place to hang out, especially during the summer when they have outdoor seating. Just sit still, sip your tea, and people watch.

The food here is always good, and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. They're known for their salad bar, which is probably the best deal, and their soup that changes daily. Pick up a monthly soup schedule if you want to stay in the know.
My main gripe with this place is the portions are pretty small. However, when they have a scrumptious soup, it's totally worth it.

Everytime I walk by at peak lunch hours, there's a huge line that stretches out the door. Don't be afraid, though. That line moves fast.
Inside, you'll find a great selection of hot Italian foods and a creative sandwich bar that offers more than just a boring meatball sub.
If you work in the area, then don't forget to get a frequent diner club, which will earn you free pizza and salads.

The food here is a little on the expensive side, but you can't argue that it's not tasty. You'll definitely spend a couple more dollars here than other cheaper lunch places, but it's worth it, especially the hot pastrami sandwich on Tuesdays. The hot pastrami at nearby Park Square can't compete with theirs. Just remember that the place isn't open for dinner or on weekends. It caters strictly to the business lunch crowd.

If you're on Newbury Street and have no desire to walk another mile to get to Chinatown, then you absolutely must stop by Wisteria House. It's a small place without many tables, but I've never had a problem getting a seat. The food is good and rivals that of crowded Chinatown, and they have a good selection of Taiwanese cuisine.

This place has really good Taiwanese cuisine which is slightly different from the usual Chinese that you'll find elsewhere in Chinatown. It's clean, the service fast, and it's cheap. Sometimes, it's crowded. However, it's well worth it. Just watch out: it's cash only. Leave your credit card at home. My favorites here are the rolls and noodle soup, which is possible the best in the area.

This is an enormous restaurant in what, I believe, is a converted theater. There are tons of tables with carts of food that snake their way across the floor. The place is loud and fun with decent dim sum and gaudy decorations on the walls. The dim sum, though, isn't as good as nearby China Pearl in my opinion. Also, you might want to bring someone who speaks Chinese. Otherwise, you'll have no idea what you're eating.
