The Christmas Tree shop is a nice northeast chain of junk shops--- much like the 5 and dime of yesterdays. They do not sell just Christmas Trees despite the name. They have items that rotate seasonally like any department store, with an emphasis on holiday, crafty, and household items. My favorite thing to get here are cheap ornaments for the tops of gifts come christmas time. Though these ornaments are generally under $2, they look very nice and unique.
The Christmas Tree shop regularly gets selloffs of other stores merchandise which is sells at discounted prices. It's hit or miss, but worth the search regardless.

The Radisson Lord Baltimore is located convieniently between Baltimore's Inner Harbor and Camden Yards, The downtown location may not be the safest at night, but it is certainly central to area attractions.
The rooms at the Radisson are very nice and comfortable--- modern comfortable beds and nicer furniture. They are also very clean with extra pillows.
The lobby at the Radisson reminds me of something out of a movie filmed in the 40s or 50s. The dark wood and dark-colored carpet with high cathedral ceilings make this area feel stately and old. The elevators even recall days of the past.
The staff at the Radisson was very helpful and helped to arrange airport transportation and services that I needed during my stay. I recommend this hotel.

Uncle Lee's szechuan restaurant does not look like much from the outside, but inside the cathedral ceilings and fabulous Asian-inspired menu pack a big punch. Located convieniently near Baltimore's Inner Harbor section, this restaurant might be walked by if you are in a hurry due to it's understated sign advertising its existance.
On my visit, I tried a tofu dish that was completely wonderful that I hadn't heard of before. The food was all very spicy, but very good. Possibly the best hot and sour soup I have ever had.
The service at Uncle Lee's is friendly and efficient and the prices are reasonable as well (most entrees are under $10). Great for large groups of people due to the space inside and large table availibility.

The Salem Beer Works is a nice casual restaurant in downtown Salem. Here they have several different kinds of beer that are brewed right at this facility. They have large screen TV's for watching games that are very easy to see no matter where you might sit in the restaurant. At night, this serves as an excellent after-work place for locals. The food is not bad either- the menu serves casual American entrees and even has vegetarian dishes like veggie burgers on top of standards like chicken wings and fries. Not bad!

The Salem WItch museum tells visitors the story of the Salem witch trials of the 1600's through wax figures and recorded narration. The first part of the museum is a round-shaped audotourium with the wax figures on stages that become illuminated as the narrator tells the story of bewitching, trials and hangings. It seemed too scary for the small children in the audience. The second part of the museum gives depictions of witches in todays society. All in all, a good hour is spent going through the exhibit finished in the witch gift shop.

Cafe Podima has very good pizza, hot and cold sandwiches, pastas, salads, and wraps that are made to order. My only complaint I have is that the sweet potato fries come soggy everytime we've ordered them- otherwise the rest of the menu is very good and well priced.
They have several different frozen yogurts that can be mixed to 1 of 40 flavors. Definitely add your favorite to your order- they are delicious.

Though Made in Brazil might be a little expensive for these types of imported clothes, the goods here are unique and spirited. Cute bags, shoes, dresses and swimwear abound from this small mall store. The store people are friendly and very helpful. The bright colors of the clothing will cheer even the grumpiest Bostonian in the winter. A variety of sizes, but not a lot of variety in the styles with all clothes coming from one Brazilian manufacturer.

The Best Western Center Inn located in Virginia Beach is dirty, classless, and has no added benefits of location. Located on the busy Military Highway which is often so traffic-jammed you can't even get to your hotel, the Best Western is one of the worst places in the area. The rooms are disgusting (dirty and even the non-smoking rooms smelled like smoke). The service was awful as well- from the maid not cleaning my room, to being accosted for a ticket (which I was never issued) to take part in their sad breakfast buffet. $85/night is too much, even if it is cheap for these dingy digs.

The Wingate Inn is a good hotel located near the navy base in Virginia Beach. It is also convienient to Norfolk Airport.
The rooms at the Wingate are typical of nicer business oriented hotels with additional features like internet access, and continental breakfast. However the counter help and service people here are atrotious. The housekeeper stole things from my room, the registrar acted as if she was going out of her way to check me in and out, and they did not do a single extra thing I asked them to do (like an extra copy of my bill, or giving me paper for THIER printer in their business center). The service was just awful!

Sebastians is one of my favorite places to grab lunch in downtown Boston. Open only on weekdays during the work week, most of the clientele that frequent this establishment are the power-lunching crowd.
Here, the salad-fixins are kept behind a counter and you ask the preparer to add-in whatever you would like. They have an excellent selection of ingredients and cleanliness is impeccable (unlike other area salad bars). The prices are a little high ($7 for a salad without a meat add in), but in my opinion they taste much better than other area diners and salad bars.
