If you are looking to break into the entertainment world, this is the place for you. If you are looking to break into the writing world, this may be the place for you. However, it may not. As a double major, I have experienced two very different perspectives of Emerson. For acting or writing, it’s great. For journalism…it depends on what you’re expecting. And then there’s the whole faculty/administration conflict…Talk to students who already go there before making your decision.

More
I was searching for an acceptable day care center for my cousin so that my aunt and uncle do not have to worry about their little baby. I came by this day care service and the entire place was being managed by a bunch of Christian people. They were very religious with the things that they were doing and how they planned their activities. Mainly, they had a goal of trying to convert family members into Christianity because they thought it was the right thing to do. My aunt and uncle were both Buddhists and they were not sure if they want to convert into another religion for their baby and due to the fact that they are living in an American community.

More
I am not a regular member of Park Street Church, but I do attend every so often. The Pastor, Dr. Gordon Hugenberger, is amazing. I always leave feeling moved and challenged. Even though this is a city where everyone is an academic and an intellectual, it is often difficult to find church that feeds this type of mind, but the Park Street Church always seems to give you something to think about - it is never the same old "ho hum" sermon. For those shopping around for something new, I would highly recommend checking it out.
It is a Christian, Congregational Church, for those interested in the denomination.

Bikes Not Bombs is a hike up Amory Street, and a great place to bring your bike for repair or to find a bike and also help a good cause. Bikes Not Bombs trains local kids to become bike mechanics, and also sends bikes and mechanics all over the world to populations who need them. The kids know what they're doing and there are supervisors around if they get stumped. A worthy venture.
