Since starting the Bristol voice program, my voice is a thousand times better. I know that sounds dramatic but so is the change in my voice. I am learning so many tools that have helped mold my voice into my own sound. I use to try and imitate what I heard on the radio, but Bristol has helped me to find my voice and not some imitation that I thought sounded good. Before Bristol, I had no demo. I recently looked back at my first song, which I still think is great, but I can see now how much was missing. I had no clue about artifacts and tones and those are the things that make that quality sound you hear on the radio.
Like everything else, no one taught me how to promote myself as an artist and the importance of it. In school you study from books, but you really don????t learn how to do it. The Artist development program at Bristol breaks it all down for you and you learn HOW to do it rather than learn the theory of it. I now have the tools to know how to successfully promote myself and dedicate a portion of time to it everyday.
I honestly never knew what was really involved in putting together a show until I came to Bristol. It is funny to look back at my shows and think, oh my God, what was I thinking? I look at my show now and it is completely different and I have learned so much. I can now see what I needed to be doing. It is a great feeling to have that knowledge. The Artist development program really breaks it down for you and it is set up so that if you follow it, and put in the work, you are bound to succeed.
I can not say enough about the program- it has been life changing and that is not some cheesy advertisement. I would not be were I am today if it was not for the program!! Not only has it helped me in my singing but also in my overall life. I am now happier and more successful than I have ever been. I am achieving goals that were once a dream. ~P.

I am entering my 2nd year at Wentworth and I am extremely satisfied with my decision to attend. If you are interested in an engineering or design program, this is the place for you. It is a small campus (about 3,000) in a great spot in Boston. There are plenty of other schools around also, so there is never a shortage of us college students. The Institute is extremely concerned with their students and the community which makes up Wentworth. WIT also has a wonderful co-op program for all majors so you can get real-world experience before you graduate. Great school, I would recommend to anyone!

I attended Simmons College to complete my undergraduate degree. I went in with the idea that I would be "in and out" with my degree in hand. I had no idea how much I would gain by attending the school!
All the professors care so much about the students and their success. I was really impressed with how accommodating they were to issues of single moms and non-traditional students who desperately wanted to succeed but had to handle multiple responsibilities in the process... (I can count several occasions in which we had a young visitor or two to our various classrooms due to daycare being unavailable that day!).
The classes were challenging but rewarding - I studied Economics and Math.
I highly recommend the school!

The Best
In my opinion this is the best public exam school in Boston. The newer sections of the building are breathtaking. The school has a wonderful music program and competitve academics. If you are looking to get into a good college, this is a great school to attend! Very rigorous and stressful curriculum though - must be up for a challenge.

Poor communication but good fit for some
I give this charter school only 3 stars due mostly to the fact that they lost their 7th grade charter at the end of last school year - too late for many of their students to apply to new schools. However, the school administation did provide assistance to families in locating appropriate options for the 7th grade. BRCS has very clear rules for its students and is a good alternative to public school.

More
The Communication Disorders department at Emerson is excellent. The facilities are less than 10 years old, the faculty is tremendous, and the range of placement possibilities are very wide. When I was applying to Masters programs, other schools told me about how great their research was and so on, but at Emerson, I was told that the primary focus is on the students, especially at the masters level. Additionally, students are encouraged to work together as much as possible in most classes, which is great preparation for the real world.
The only minor drawback is that there is more focus on child language disorders than on adults. I was able to create my own class to study more adult language disorders, however.
Emerson is an arts and communications college for undergrad, so you may not think of it for communication disorders, but it really is first rate.

Small Wonders is an excellent early school experience for all chidlren under age three. I have sent two chidlren there, one child with Down Syndrome and the other a typical toddler. They both have learned great play and life skills, as well as have a healthy foundation on which to build their future school experiences. I am soon to be sending a third child to start her Small Wonders Exeprience. If you want an sensitive, energetic staff and outstandingly clean facitlity, you can find no better!

I went to the two year program and learned more than I thought possible. All of the teachers are successful professionals in the photography industry. I went to a four-year university for photography and I learned so much more in the two years at nesop than i did in all my time at the other school. Boston is a great place to be and nesop offers a wonderful program for those who are interested in photography.
