Best

You can't beat this restaurant. Inexpensive yet very cool atmosphere and good food. Their salsa is the best in the city and I could eat it by the gallon. Although I don't drink...

Worst

the drinks are gross! taste like they come from a can. never used to be like that in the old days. what happened? food has gone down hill also.

Slop, slop and more slop. 4/25/2010

When I was young, this food tasted good. As an adult, it tastes like old slop. The food is non descript and the beans, rice, and whatever else I order all tastes the same. You could mix it all up in a bowl and it wouldn't matter. Valet parking is a hassle and expensive. more

el coyote is fun 7/28/2005

el coyote is a great place to have drinks with friends. They have delicious margaritas that go down like water! The staff wears authentic mexican wardrobe, and they are always very friendly. I know this one guy who goes there like 4 times a week. Kid you not. Of course, he lives around the corner. But he still loves it. They know him by name there. The taco salad is delicious as well. more

Best Mexican Food in Los Angeles! 7/2/2005

El Coyote serves delicious Mexican food in a realistic ambiance. Prices are very reasonable. The staff has been there for many years and are very nice. Their guacamole is the best in town-- as are their margaritas. My kids love the virgin fruit-flavored margaritas. more
