Discount Tire

Leaving work, saw that my tire was almost flat. Stopped in at Discount Tires to see if they would put some air in and saw the sign offering free air. When walking towards the door, I was met by a nice service rep who came right out to look at my car. As it was very low, we were thinking the worst - that I would need a new tire. He said it would be 30-45 minutes (they were very busy). 45 minutes later (so true to their word) - the tech came in, said they had found a screw in the tire (love Houston roads!) and fixed me right up. The invoice said $0.00!!! I was shocked and pleased. When I need new tires - they will get my business. more

I came in on Friday, 7/3, only to find out that I had a 2 hour wait, so I scheduled an appt. at 11:30 am for the next Monday. When I came in as scheduled on 7/6, and after waiting 20 minutes in line, I was told my appt. was 7/13! I was there on my lunch hour, and the gentleman waiting on me understood that the person scheduling me on Friday had entered in my appt. on the wrong day, but he nevertheless assured me the work could be done then, and, sure enough, I was out in 30 minutes. I appreciated his understanding of the situation and the expedition of the work on my car. It saved me a third trip! Pros: Honored my request Cons: Long line more

discount tires has really impressed me,, i have been to several different stores over the years and my last visit to the 2927 southwest freeway store,,just confirms.. they really do a great job,fast,efficient.and the employees really do go the extra mile to try and find solutions ,be it locaing an out of network rim,or finding the best price for tires that they dont have in stock, instead of trying to sell me what they have in stock,,or telling me the rim wasn't avaiable,, my tech took my number and call me th enext day with the number of where i could get the rim,, AND,he lent me a loner rim that fit my spokes until my matching rim came in,, top notch,all the time.fair, good value,,nice first come first serve system,with some appts available per day. Pros: fast,thorough,consistent,across the board. Cons: serioiusly,, i can't think of any, maybe,, they the wating areas could have a tv or something. more
