Found piece of sharp metal in noodles 8/6/2007

So, I’m always a little leery about places like this, because I know how unclean they can be. Well, my co-workers decided to go there for lunch today, and the food was not bad….except…right before we left, one of the guys took a bite of some lo-mein, and felt something not right. He then pulled out a dime size piece of sharp, rusty metal that he almost swallowed. We tell the waiter, and all he does is take the price of the lo-mein off the bill. Luckily my friend caught it in time, otherwise who knows what damage it could of done. That is the last time we will ever go there, and we went there on a recommendation. more

Found a DEAD FLY in the dish 5/15/2007

Near my working place, Din Ho was my first choice for a quick lunch in the past several weeks until I ordered the "BBQ Pork on White Rice" to go from Din Ho noon May 15. I found a DEAD FLY in the food. Just want to tell you who see this comment: rethink before you lead your friends to this restaurant. If you have to, check your food carefully before you eat it for your goodness. It sounds disgusting but it's a true story. more

Authentic chinese 4/16/2006

If you want authentic chinese food, go here. If you want good service, don't go here. Their food is tasty and their chinese bbq pork is great. They are also the only place in town where you can get chinese bbq. Be warned, they run out of their bbq pork (sometimes too early), so if you want to try it, go earlier, rather than later. more

This is an awesome restaurant 12/8/2005

You can tell by how many asians eat there too how good a restaurant is. The bbq pork and roasted duck are my faves. They serve a lot of food. Sometimes they sell out, so be adviced. It has ample parking and next door is Coco's if you must have your boba too. more

Great place for Authentic Chinese! 9/17/2005

I've been to most of the Chinese restaurants around town and this is the most authentic Chinese food that you can get. This place is always crowded on the weekends so I would suggest arriving early to beat the crowd. If you've never had duck meat, you should try Din Ho's because they're the best. more

Great chinese restraunt 9/7/2005

This Chinese restaurant is one of the best in Austin. This is the best place to find authentic Chinese food. You can’t beat it! The prices are extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend coming here if you like Chinese food. I give this a great because it’s not the cleanest place to eat. Don’t let this stop you from trying Din Ho at lease one time. You will enjoy it. more

Good Chinese restaurant 8/17/2005

This is a very good and Chinese style restaurant. It has the special dishes like BBQ pork, roast duck, roast chicken and others, those are dishes coming from southern China. If you would like to try the good Chinese style food, go for it. And it is always very full in the weekend, so go early. more

Best Chinese Food in Austin 8/15/2005

Hands down this is the best chinese food in austin. It is an authentic cantonese restaurant that could easily be open in Hong Kong. Prices are completely reasonable with prices from $7-13 about per dish. In addition they now offer a late night snack (i have never tried this before, but will soon). Bring friends and family and enjoy this top notch chinese food so much better than the likes of p.f. changs more

This is the best place to have chinese food in austin and the surrounded areas. They serve huge portions and the food is very tasty. The food is very fresh too The only problem they have that the way they serve a big group. They bring the dishes as they get ready. more

Best Chinese Food in Town! 8/4/2005

This place is seriuosly the best Chinese food in town! Most Austinites will agree because there are always long waits, but it's worth it. The menu is affordable and the food truly authentic. They serve chicken, red meat, and seafood and some vegetarian. I would highly recommend getting the sizzling chicken with black bean sauce. If you've never tried duck meat, you should definitely give these a try at Din Ho's. They're the best. The only bad thing I can say about this place is that there are always long waits during dinner time. more
