I’ve been going to Barbara at Sirens Salon for cuts and colors for several years now recommend her very highly. I’ve got curly hair which is not always easy to work with. Barbara is able to cut it so that it actually looks like it has got some style – I get compliments on my hair far more often after I started seeing Barbara. Barbara is also excellent with color – she has taught many color classes to others in her field and I love having that level of expertise when I am having my hair colored. One of the items I really respect about Barbara is even though she is already super knowledgeable and really good at what she does, she is always trying to learn more. Every time I go in, it seems like she has just taken a class or is getting ready to go to a class– she is always learning and keeping up to date with trends and techniques. And as an added bonus, she is a really great person and someone you enjoy spending a couple of hours with every 6 weeks or so. more

Love this place! The ladies are hip AND friendly. I see Karla and I get insane amounts of compliments on my hair, even after a workout at the gym!! Plus she's fun to be around. ;). Been going to Sirens Salon for almost 3 years now and have no plans to stop! more

I have been going to Karla at Sirens Salon for about 3 years now. She always does a great job on my cut and highlights. She is very fun and easy to talk to which makes the time in the chair pass quickly. I've been a Sirens client for years. The reason I stay loyal to this salon over all the others in town is simple: these stylists know what they are doing. It's not just great cuts, or great color, it's everything. Knowledgeable staff who stay current on the latest styles and attend continuing education events as often as they can, usually 3-4 times a year or more, the highest quality products (they use the vegan, sulfite-free brand Unite, which is wildly popular in Europe and just being seen in the U.S.), and the atmosphere rocks! I am Facebook friends with Sirens and I see all the fun events they go to for training and to keep on top of the latest trends. I love walking in and immediately being greeted hello and offered a soft drink, water or wine. The salon's vibe is upbeat and positive. How often do you visit a new salon and you hear two of the staff griping about schedules or their love life or how tired they are and can't wait to be out of work? Not here! You can tell the staff love their jobs. And Sirens' stylists make me look great! My hair is curly but I like to wear it straight, not an easy task. I have major cowlicks, too. And I'm hopeless at complicated styles, but these ladies cut my hair in styles that make it easy for me to replicate. Whether it is Emma, Lauren, Raven or Lindsey working on me, they either all have magic hands or these ladies know their stuff. I've had highlights, low lights, ombre and all over color from Sirens and loved it every single time. And the hand massages while your color processes make me feel pampered. When friends ask me to refer a hair stylist, I just tell them to take anyone who has an open appointment at Sirens. Seriously, they are all that good. They do have a stylist who specializes in curly hair (Barbara) and for the guys, a barber is on staff, too. Oh, and when allergy season is gearing up, I get my lashes tinted. I can't do mascara on days when my eyes are itching like crazy, and lash tinting makes me feel less ""naked face"". I've had makeup lessons from Lauren, who also did my wedding makeup. Emma did my wedding hair. I had planned to wear my grandmother's 1920's flapper seed pearl rope in my hair as my something old, and Emma rocked it out! I can't say enough good things about this salon. Go try it for yourself and tell them Kay sent you! more

One of the worst Salon experiences I have ever had. I went in asking for an ombre color with a specific photo. I was very direct about what i wanted, and I came out with a nice hair color, but it was nothing like what i wanted or had asked for. After leaving I decided to call back and address my concerns and they offered to give me a free ""fix-up"", and because the color wasn't bad I decided maybe if I just told her again she would get it right this time, wrongggg. Oh god was I wrong. I was born to be a brunette, and had just desired blonde on the tips... well dark to blonde ombre with auburn in the middle. She asked where I wanted the auburn to start and I said right above my chin and then to go on for 4 inches and then to have it be blonde ( i have very long hair). Well I came out with my entire head BLONDE it went from barely any brown from blonde to even blonder. Even worse yet the blonde starts about where my eyebrows are. SERIOUSLY!? What a lack of communication. I am soooo upset. I am seriously depressed about being a blonde, and I can't even dye it back dark out of fear of frying my hair even more. So for a month I get to walk around with people wondering wtf i was thinking. So basically i spent $270, wasted roughly 8 hours in total, never got the ombre i've been wanting so badly... and worst of all hating my hair/damaging it. Just thought you guys should know. -I also contacted the manager after this entire experience and the receptionist assured me she would call me the next day. Nope, never happened, they obviously don't really care. more

I have been exclusively coming to see Barbara for over 6years now. She is hands down the most skilled at her craft. I have gained so much trust in her abilities that I simply give her a general idea of what I think I want and just let her do her magic. She knows what's best and ALWAYS delivers.... which brings me to my latest and greatest style of the year............OMBRE'!!!!!!!!! Let's be honest here...there is a lot of Ombre' out there. Most of it terrible and poorly done. There is a process that apparently many stylists are too lazy to take the time to do. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Ombre'! It is the perfect blend of colors, very natural looking, and oh so beautiful! You know that experience you get, of feeling like a million bucks with your new ""do""? Yeah.....expect THAT. So what are you waiting for? If you are ready to rock this color (or ANY color), why settle for someone less than the best, really? GO SEE BARBARA. You won't be disappointed, I promise. more

Stephanie is wonderful! Her skill, great judgment and eye for what will work all mean that I leave the salon every time feeling and looking like a million. She always ""gets me"" and always delivers exactly what I wanted! Ever since I started seeing Stephanie, friends have told me my hair has never looked better. Stephanie and Raven make a great team - they're fun and will make you feel comfortable, confident, and well-cared for. Rest assured, you will leave happy. more

I always look forward to my appointments at Sirens. I used to wait too long in between hair appointments, but now I keep on a regular schedule. Stephanie makes me look and feel awesome! Sirens definitely knows how to treat their customers well! more

It had been a couple years about since my last hair cut and my ends were very dry and split so i decided to research some good hair places. After I read some reviews and read about the girls that worked at Siren Salon I called to schedule my first appt. My stylist was Lauren and I must say she did a really nice job! She has to be one of the few hair stylist I went to that when I asked her not to cut off to much but enough to where the dead ends were gone, she did. She cut off less, and not too much so if I decided I wanted my hair longer(I also got longer bangs) then it wasn't too late. First hair cut where someone actually listened to what I wanted and didn't cut my bangs too short. My hair looked great! I'm for sure going back to Siren Salons and Lauren, especially for my hair coloring that I've been wanting. more

OMG, I developed an allergy to hair dyes! Stephanie used her product knowledge and magical styling skills to get me through the transition to natural color. I get compliments on my new look all the time. Thank you Stephanie!!! And Raven is so pleasant to visit with and helpful to customers as well as the stylists. The hand massages are a special treat too. more

I just moved to Austin and was wary about finding a new hair stylist. Yesterday I went to a salon that told me they did the ombre look. Let's just say they had no clue what they were doing... I was extremely upset and called Sirens today on a Saturday morning with my hair emergency thinking there was no way they would be able to fit me in. They were very accommodating and told me to head on over. Karla was my stylist and all I can say is she is a miracle worker! She not only was she able to fix my hair, she gave me a beautiful ombre look! Better than I had expected it to turn out! I highly recommend this salon and have definitely found my new stylist in Austin. I would post pictures of what how the last salon left me looking, but I won't cause it's that embarrassing! more

i can't say enough about Barbara at Sirens Salon. She seriously knows your curly hair and what to do wth it. I've seen her now 4 times and she has yet to even hint at straightening it ""just too see""... I hate that! She celebrates the curls like they should be celebrated! My hair has never looked better and I've never had so many ""good hair days"" regardless of weather. Listen to what she tells you--it works. more

i've been going to Lauren for cuts and trims for about a year now, every time i leave happy! I show her a picture, she gets it, she cuts it, i LOVE IT! Whether i'm in for a cut or stopping by for a bangs trim , Lauren is prompt, hilarious, courteous, and skilled. I love SIRENS SALON! more

I have been getting my hair done with this talented lady for many years! She ALWAYS makes my hair look amazing no matter how damaged it is. Emma has been cutting my hair for more than 20 years, which is testament to her skills (and patience!). She is an extremely gifted stylist, and she is a wonderful person as well. She runs her salon with the customers' needs ass #1, always. Her color skills are excellent, and she always has a great suggestion for a new look or ways to pump up the old look. I would imagine any of the stylists there would give you the same attention. Highly recommended - thank you for helping me become ""Dangerously Beautiful""!!! more
