These folks have been around for 30 years and I've been using them for close to that. I highly recommend them for your residential plumbing needs. They've always been honest, timely, and effective for me. From clearing clogs in the main sewer line to replacing a hose bib the time I broke it off one hot Sunday afternoon to fixing broken pipes back when it used to freeze in Austin, I've never had a problem with them and their prices have always been entirely reasonable. Throw in friendly and knowledgeable plumbers and you have a winner that I keep calling when the pipes give me attitude. more

Our on-demand water heater had quit working one morning and being a handy sort, I investigated but I could find no apparent cause, so we called Clarke Kent Plumbing, based upon favorable reviews. The man they sent to repair it obviously was not up the level of service or repair we expected. He had left the whole situation in a bit of a messy state (wires exposed, didn't replace the cover and made excuses when my wife asked him about it before he left, after he was supposedly finished and she paid him.) When I got home and saw what he had done, I was pretty unhappy. I called and spoke with Hayley King in customer service, who told me she would take the photos I sent of the substandard work and the way the guy left our water heater to the owners and would be back in touch. When Haley did get back to us, they not only sent a competent serviceman out to fix the problem (which was very minor- a rodent-chewed cord), but they apologized (several times by phone and written) and then refunded our money. That is pretty awesome customer service that i really didn't expect. They then followed up with us to make sure we were completely satisfied. If I ever have any plumbing/electrical service needs in the future i will absolutely call Clarke Kent. They admitted to their error immediately, fixed the problem and for all the trouble we'd been through, refused to let me pay. more

I called Clarke Kent at 8:30 p.m. on a Sat. night about a rental property with clogged and overflowing toilets and showers. There aren't many 24 hour plumbers in Austin, and they got back to me quickly and had someone at the property within an hour. The clog was a tough one, and they had to return the next morning before they could cut through the tree roots grown into the main sewer line. Unfortunately, my tenant (Denise D.-see review below) reported to me later that her ring had gone missing after the plumbers were in her unit. It took awhile and some back and forth, but Clarke Kent reimbursed my tenant for the full value of the ring, even though neither plumber admitted to the theft and the ring was never recovered. I believe it was over $800, so I really think this company did the right thing in a tough situation. more

We have worked with CKP for over 5 years. They are professional and reliable. Allan F. has done a lot of work for us lately including faucets, shower, water heater, and water pressure. He knows what he's doing and is true to his word. The company is concerned with customer satisfaction. I recommend them. more

Josh and Mike performed great today 10-10-15 repairing our main water line leak. Kent was the only plumber that could come out before noon today -Saturday. Josh made a second trip after Mike located the leak. An all day task into early evening but they got it done. They were off to the next job after dark. more

Today is Friday, and I needed to fix water heater. I was referred to Clark Kent by another nice plumber. They was quick at responding and dispatching. Though it is after 5pm, they still dropped by. For some reason, the previous plumber already fixed the problem. So this guy inspected the whole place and insured me that everything is fine now. He didn't even charge me dispatch fee!!!!!! They will definitely be my future water heater repair people. more

Rob is my hero! I'm an idiot and bumped our hose faucet with my bumper on Easter Sunday. It broke the pipe and water was gushing everywhere. I turned off the water at the street, but unfortunately the valve was old and that broke as well. Within about an hour, Clarke Kent's guy arrived. Rob was good natured and helpful, and worked really really hard into the night to make it right so that we could get back to caring for our infant son. He didn't even judge me for being an idiot.
