Our on-demand water heater had quit working one morning and being a handy sort, I investigated but I could find no apparent cause, so we called Clarke Kent Plumbing, based upon favorable reviews. The man they sent to repair it obviously was not up the level of service or repair we expected. He had left the whole situation in a bit of a messy state (wires exposed, didn't replace the cover and made excuses when my wife asked him about it before he left, after he was supposedly finished and she paid him.) When I got home and saw what he had done, I was pretty unhappy. I called and spoke with Hayley King in customer service, who told me she would take the photos I sent of the substandard work and the way the guy left our water heater to the owners and would be back in touch. When Haley did get back to us, they not only sent a competent serviceman out to fix the problem (which was very minor- a rodent-chewed cord), but they apologized (several times by phone and written) and then refunded our money. That is pretty awesome customer service that i really didn't expect. They then followed up with us to make sure we were completely satisfied. If I ever have any plumbing/electrical service needs in the future i will absolutely call Clarke Kent. They admitted to their error immediately, fixed the problem and for all the trouble we'd been through, refused to let me pay.
