If you're looking for a good Chinese place, I'd keep looking. I've been to China Star a few times because they're convenient and inexpensive (I always got the buffet to go), but I went in today, wanting to sit down and order off the menu. I have to say the staff is way more interested in cycling people in and out of the place ($$) than actually running a true restaurant. I was seated, and after my server brought me my iced tea, I sat there wondering where she was. Finally she comes around the corner and I'm still sitting there, looking at her expectantly. I ask for a menu and... no can do! Clearly, your only option at this place is to fix your own darn plate at the buffet. If I had known this was a buffet mill disguised as a ""restaurant"" I would have kept driving. So, at the end of the meal, I asked for a small to-go box for my egg roll and crab rangoons. No can do!! My server absolutely refused to bring me a to-go box, so the remaining food on my plate was completely wasted. I guess they figure I'm gonna sneak by the buffet on the way out and load up my to-go box...? I can see how they would not want to give to-go boxes for customers who make four trips to the buffet, but I had only made ONE trip to their buffet, and I PAID FOR THE FOOD ON MY PLATE. I can't see any reason to go back to China Star.
Pros: ""Okay"" Chinese food
Cons: Buffet mill, not a true restaurant
