Catch This Great Restaurant 6/28/2006

Chicago is not a town (like Boston) known for its seafood restaurants, so it is all the more unlikely to find a seafood restaurant this good in the heart of the Loop. Catch-35 offers a selection of fresh fish as well as other entrées, but why wouldn't you enjoy selecting your meal from the refrigerated case near the door? And if the lure of fresh fish alone were not a highlight, the restaurant specializes in entrees with an Asian twist. This high-end restaurant mandates reservations due to high demand, which is no surprise given the high quality of food and the advertising folks next door. The wait staff are great, and I had a good experience planning an executive dinner here for out-of-town colleagues. As a Chicagoan, I am proud to say, yes you can get great fish in the Midwest. Just expect to pay for it! more

Seafood 3/9/2006

This is the best place in all of Chicago to get fresh seafood. Their extensive menu features seafood that will amaze you. When I went here I had their charcoal grilled salmon and it was amazing! But don't get too full on the meals because there is a great dessert menu here too that you will want to try for sure. This is a perfect place for a date or a special occassion! more

Good food 8/26/2005

Centrally located in the Leo Burnett building, ad execs and industry big wigs nosh on a menu that features 35 daily seafood specials, such as pan seared Chilean sea bass, blackened swordfish, pan seared tuna and, when in season, soft shell crabs. Can't decide? All selections can be viewed from a display case near the open kitchen. Land lovers will enjoy the selection of steaks, stir fry and chicken. Sauces generally are Asian-inspired. Live jazz emanates from a grand piano in the comfortable lounge, and the bar remains open 1 hour past the dining room for those seeking a post-dinner respite. more
