This was originally my stress-relieving rant because nine times out of ten I get either the brand-new desk person, the incredibly ditzy desk person, or the too-arrogant-and-self-assured-in-her-own-righteousness-for-someone-who-isn't-actually-a-vet desk person, and I finally snapped and gave Cat Hospital of Chicago a bad review, which I am now revising.\r

These three archetypes of Cat Hospital desk folk aren't any one person, btw, they seem to be someone I haven't experienced before every time I bring my cats in. This place can have serious attitude problems here and there, I find, that I haven't encountered elsewhere in 15 years of patronizing cats-only vet clinics in 3 major cities. You can leave this place slimed with the bad-cat-parent brush for something like not spending $200 on tests on top of the already pricey exam/procedures/flea meds/prescription food for a seemingly perfectly healthy cat, "just in case".
