Casarita Mexcian Restaurant

I LOVE Guacamole soooo much. I love it so much that I usually order a huge bowl of it for my dinner but I always make sure I know what is going into it, I don't want a bunch of tomatoes and onions and just a little avocado.\r I went for dinner last weekend with my husband and kids and ordered the guacamole dip for my dinner, it was $5.95 so I knew it would be a big bowl of avocado.\r I specifically asked the waiter, ""is it made from fresh avocados""? He replied ""oh, yes"". What a lie! \r It was so disgusting, it was lime green and very, very oily and looked exactly like what comes out of the bags you get at HEB. If I wasn't so busy with taking care of my baby I would have complained and asked for a refund. Needless to say, I didn't eat it and my dinner was ruined. All I had was a crunchy taco-the beef was very, very dry. \r The salsa was also very watery and tasteless. What a shame. more

The food as always was great. The owner, however, is a scam artist. He sells coupons thru Living Social Daily deals for $20 worth of food for $10 then makes up for the loss by charging for iced tea that is normally free so that you didn't get a deal at all! When we complained he said ""we charge for drinks when you use a coupon, it says it on the coupon"". Well, it doesn't say any such thing. The only reason we even ordered tea is because it's usually free! When we said we would not be back the owner just said ""that's too bad!"" We won't be back. DO NOT PURCHASE LIVING SOCIAL DEALS FROM THIS JERK! more

Casarita, hands down, has the best enchiladas I have tasted in San Antonio. Waiters/waitresses are always friendly and prompt. My only complaint is that they always have the temperature WAY too hot in the summers and way too cold in the winters. more

I doubt if this is the best Mexican food in town (a person would have to visit literally hundreds of restaurants to make that claim), but it is very good. Cons: small parking lot more

The best Mexican food I have found in San Antonio. My favorite is the Pollo Enrollado. The staff is fast, efficient, and very friendly. Great for takeout, too. Pros: Inexpensive, good parking, never crowded more
