When I was a student at UT Austin, we would sometimes have volunteer days where we would go down tot he Austin Children's Museum to help out. The place is GREAT and I would reccommend it to any parent who wants to spend a fun filled day with his or her child. I give the museum a great rating! more

kids like there 8/18/2005

Austin children's museum is a good place for children. Lots of science mixed with toys and games. The kids felt excited when they got there and never got bored. The entrance for every Sunday is free, that is also a good point. If you have kids, it is a very good place to visit and learn some science with fun. more

Wholesome, educational fun for the kids. 8/18/2005

When 5 of my little cousins came to visit me a few years ago (ages 5-11), I planned to take them to this Museum on Sunday when admission is free for several hours. I thought that was really nifty, for them to be so generous. At first, the kids groaned when I told them I was taking them to a museum. When we got there, the kids couldn't have been happier with the interactive displays and neat toys. There was plenty of science in the mix to make it a real educational experience. I had to pry them away from the place. more
