I took my Canon S-80 in to have the screen LCD replaced, due to an accident in which the screen was impacted and scratched. When I got the camera back weeks later, the LCD worked but the scratched outer screen was not replaced. They never asked if I only wanted the screen replaced or informed me if the LCD and the protective screen were separate parts. Obviously, the camera was usable but a new outer screen would still be a big improvement. I told them of this lack of communication and that the camera should have gotten a replacement outer screen.
They said they would order one and put it in for free, I did not hear from them for 6 weeks and called them - they said they forgot and would get right on it. After that, I called them five more times over the next six months - they would always say the part was hard to find, then never get back to me. After 9 months, I called them and said I found a source for the part and they could order it (I would pay for the part) then replace it - they took the info, said they would do their best, then again no response after a month. They won't even respond to the Better Business people!
