New Combos are great! 8/21/2003

Just went to the Amy's Arboretum on Sunday and I love their new Combo Board! They give you ideas (updated weekly I guess) to mix ice cream and toppings and there is always some new flavor to try! The downsides are that the ambiance isn't very original -- hello, am I in Ben and Jerry's? Cow theme has been done. The price isa bit steep but hey, are you really gonna make homemade ice cream at home? And the theatrics could be kept to a minimum when I'm standing outside for 20 minutes waiting to get inside. This is probably one of my favorite places to go in Austin. I've grown up here, and my dad has always taken my brother and I to Amy's. Whenever we have family in town, we always make sure to go to Amy's. It's just one of those things that makes Austin... well Austin. Pros: Fun, wonderful staff more

Amy's Ice Cream is the best ice cream in town bar-none. The quality of the ice cream is excellent and the staff always entertains with their unique way of serving the ice cream. Its a great place to catch some dessert. Pros: inexpensive, good parking, friendly staff more

Have always been an Amy's junkie and this year surprised my non-Austinite boyfriend one hot steamy Philadelphia summer's day with 3 pints of Amy's Mexican Vanilla and Belgian Chocolate delivered overnight to his place by Fedex in nifty container of dry ice. Go for the chocolate 10/3/2002

I like Amy's a lot. I go there specifically for the chocolate flavored icecream and the liquor flavored icecream. While they are good, I prefer Marble Slab for more traditional flavors and mixins. But my favorite is Paradise Icecream in Lakeway. Pros: Chocolate ice cream Cons: not enough seats more

The best, most creative, richest, most decadent ice cream!! The Mexican vanilla has spoiled me- I can't even look at regular vanillas. The hot fudge and chocolate chips are the finest chocolate in town. Let's face it-- I have an Amy's problem. I may need to join AA-Amy's Anon!! Pros: fun and delicious!! more

Very special! 7/26/2002

Don't forget that Amy's has containers to go. They always have pistachio, which is the best ice cream that I have ever had. If you have to have a cone, another treat, when they have it, is peanut butter and jelly with banana crush-ins. Sometimes, when the workeres are in a hyper mood, they get fancy with their presentation, and Amy's becomes an entertaining experience. You don't get that at Baskin-Robbins! more

Ben and Jerry's has nothing on Amy's. Many a study break was spent sampling the many homemade flavors at this Austin favorite. Austin's summers wouldn't be the same without the creamy goodness scooped up by Amy's artsy and friendly staff. more
