Alma's Cakes

Horrible customer service!!!! so i call about a hello kitty cake for my daughter. I talked to alma and we started to talk about how I wanted it and she suggested that I send a picture of how I wanted- this was at 10:00 am. so I decide to give them a call since the didn't reply back or give me a call- so just incase they couldn't do it I would go some where else. I called ,this guy answers and I told him what was going on then put me on hold like for the longest then hangs up on me so me trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, that probably they lost connection or something. Decided to call again, so alma answered and I told her about our conversation and she hung up on me. How rude!!! if you guys cannot do it tell me, don't hang up. So unprofessional more

I called Alma's looking for a German Chocolate Cake. I asked if they had slices or samples I could try before purchasing a cake and the guy laughed at me, said we do not do that for you and then hung up on me. I can find better places to take my business. more

I was recently married in a Private Ceremony on Friday,January 22, 2010 with a Reception to follow the next day. On Thursday, January 21st, I came across Alma's online, and based on the reviews, I decided to give them a call. I was in a panic when Myriam answered the phone. I explained my situation to her, and apologized for calling on such short notice. Myriam said that I had called the right place, and everything would be ok. She paid close attention to every detailed request, and even emailed me examples as we talked. She walked me through the ordering process, and never complained or made me feel as if I were a bother. After completing the order, Myriam confirmed everything, and assured me that I was going to be very pleased with my cakes(bride's and groom's). On Saturday, my Mother-In-Law went to pick up the cakes and was moved to tears by the Exceptional Level of Customer Service provided. She said they made her feel like a queen. To say that the cakes were delicious would be an understatement. The quality of service, along with the remarkable product, has gained Alma's a dozen more customers for life. My company used Alma's cakes for birthdays & they were always wonderful. When I got married 6 years ago I decided to have Alma make my cake. It was a wonderful decision. We have used her for all special occasions, birthdays, parties & never been disappointed. Everyone raves about how good the cakes are.
