Good: service, consideration of my circumstances, non-judgmental. very helpful and simplified the pawn process to me.. Bad: it's rather dark inside, the jewelry cases are well lit. when looking at items to buy, i found the women running the jewelry cases to be grumpy. they're not on commission so why be nice?. Improvements: mostly cosmetic...update the interior, have the women working the jewelry cases smile once in awhile and show some enthusiasm for the items being sold. gemstone education wouldn't hurt them.. Other: Overall, I have to give 5 stars to this pawn. I have been all over this country and if people have seen other pawns and personnel, they would be delighted with All That Glitters! I say that All that Glitters is Gold because they saved my dire financial situation by giving me above and beyond the expected money I hoped to receive from the gold I brought to sold. They value return business, and if you keep your pawn tickets paid off and don't leave them holding a bag of junk, you will be treated well.. more

THEY SELL FAKE MERCHANDISE! 5/3/2010

All that Glitters sold my husband a Anniversary ring with fake diamonds! And All that Glitters will not do the right thing. Which is too give us our $214! We reported them to the Better Business Bureau and we are taking them to court. Don't take the chance with this business, there are many more reputable pawn/jewelery stores in town. more

Of all the pawn shops in Portland, I think the 122nd All That Glitters has the most accurate of all the jewelry appraisers. If I were to look for good, durable gems, they are one of the few second-hand dealers I would trust. Additionally, I've picked up some great well-priced electronic equipment from them particularly amps and keyboards that have proven to be well worth what I've paid. There is one area of caution and reservation at this store and that is stringed instruments. Recently Gibson Backpack guitar was spotted there that was destroyed and unplayable that they were asking nearly full price for. I've had similar experiences with their violins and violas. more

    Loan Terms:


    Loans are held for 60 days,and may be extended longer by paying a finance charge. Finance charge is made up of the following (all fees based on the amount you borrow):


    Interest:


    Three Percent per Month,One Month Minimum Interest on All Loans or $3.00-Whichever Is Greater


    Set up Fee:


    10% of loan amount on all loans and all loan renewals with a minimum charge of $2.00 and a maximum charge of $100.00.


    Storage Fee:


    3% of loan amount on all loans and loan renewals with a minimum charge of $2.00 and a maximum charge of $100.00.


    Gun Fee:


    $3.00 on New Loans


    Any Fee That a Government Agency Imposes On the Pledgee for Holding or Transferring a Firearm


    Notification Fee:


    On Loans of $1500.00 or More a Fee of $5.00 plus Postage


    Lost,Destroyed or Stolen Ticket Fee: A fee of $3.00 per loan contract.


    We loan on Gold,Platinum and/or Silver Jewelry. Items can be missing stones,broken or 100% resalable.
