BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE 4/6/2011

Food OK but service totally unsatisfactory. It was so bad and so slow that I will never go back and will recommend to my friends that they avoid this place. The waitress was slow in every aspect....slow to bring the food, slow to get the to go box, somewhat argumentative when settling the bill....refused to accept buy 1, get 1 free coupon from Lackland AFB, refused to grant seniior citizen discount....seemed very confused and in the process presented very poor customer service, She knew one in party was paying for another one (farewell lunch), but wrote separate tickets and couldn't figure out how to ""fix it"" so each in party paid their own. Bottom line: Service was memorable in a negative sense. I won't be returning and neither will my friends. more

LOUSY IN EVERY WAY, DON'T DO IT 3/14/2011

I live in Cibolo and wanted crawfish. I called around and called this place. They said they had plenty so I drove THIRTY TWO MILES. They seated me at a table to the right of the fireplace where the outside floodlight shines right in your eyes and the waitress said THEY WERE OUT. I asked to the the manager but the manager never showed their face. She came back a few min later and said they ""found"" a pound. I said I would take it and also ordered the alligator strips. The crawfish was okay and took about 7 min to eat, the alligator strips came with a bowl of gravy to dip in and were a waste of money. They NEVER refilled my drink once and my mouth was burning at the counter. When I realized I had to pay up front the lady who brought my measley pound of crawfish said they had found a pound or two more.....this place ruined my monday night and cost me A LOT of gas in my big truck driving 64 miles for NOTHING. This place has made an enemy and I will do everything i can to keep people from going there more

Very small catfish! 10/20/2008

I've been to Acadiana 3 times, for the most part it's a great restaurant with a friendly down-to-earth feel to it. \r However on my most recent visit I must say I was very disappointed with the catfish, actually two of the three time's I've eaten there I've had the catfish and was disappointed both times. The first time was a lunch portion so I figured maybe it was supposed to be has tiny has it was, but when I ate there last night and ordered a dinner portion of the catfish the filets were still extreamly small with a lot of crust and very little fish. You can get much bigger filets of catfish and better tasting catfish for a substantially lower price at Grady's BBQ. The cajun nachos from the appitzer menu were avg. at best. Overall I do plan to return to Acadiana but will not be ordering the catfish again there unless they decide to purchase bigger filets. Thank you for taking the time to read my review folks.\r \r \r Pros: Ambience, location to my home. Cons: Very small catfish. more

Great food, good for families and groups 7/28/2007

I've been to Acadiana several times when visiting family in San Antonio. It's always quick for seating, although a little noisy. The food is GREAT Southern-style and Cajun cooking. Mom loves the chicken and dumplings, while I go for the fried fish platter. We recently had a group of twelve here, and we all had a wonderful meal and a good time. Pros: Great food and family atmosphere Cons: noisy more

Simply Wonderful 6/27/2002

What a wonderful experience! Courteous and efficient wait staff, clean family atmosphere, and a great menu. The food is excellent. Try the catfish or the Jambalaya. Good sized portions and reasonably priced. I wish I had ""room"" for that peach cobbler. Maybe next time. more
