I was extremely disappointed with the service I received from 'A Better Plumbing Company'. I contacted this company to tend to some plumbing issues in regards to clogged drains. During the process, this employee asked to use my cell phone to make a call. I agreed and he walked out and disappeared in his truck for 20 minutes. At which point he walked back into the house and headed straight for the bathroom talking on my cell phone while he went to the bathroom. Two hours later, he asked if his wife could come in and use the bathroom. That was fine and everything but seemed odd that his wife was sitting in the truck for so long and then appeared out of no where. The worst part about this service though is the condition that my house was left in. There was nasty sludge stuff flung everywhere in both bathrooms and in the garage where the de-clogging took place. Literally there was toilet paper on the ground, black nastys thrown on the walls, and no consideration in keeping my house in clean shape. If I'm hiring a professional, it's my assumption that they will do a professional job from beginning to end. This was not the case at all. I highly do not recommend this company. After the job was complete, I paid him and he asked that the check be made out to 'All about plumbing' so I'm assuming that this company is just as aweful. Cons: Everything more

I would not recommend A Better Plumbing Company to ANYONE. When they first come out, they make you feel all comfortable, very friendly and nice. And then they proceed to RIP YOU OFF. The owner Dave lied repeatedly to us and our contractor. Our estimate of $1200 somehow became $3000. Plus, his son, WHO IS NOT LICENCED did most of the work on our bathroom. (Of course, Dave denies this.) We paid for HOURS AND HOURS of drive time, and not just for Dave but for his son too, and they drove together! I had to call them to get my toilet fixed and they came right out and explained everything to me before they started work. Yeah I had to sign a contract but now days you have to sign for everything. NEway they fixed my toilet and garented(spell check that) their work for at least 30days. I liked the plumber sent to my house and the fact that they got right to work and didnt dink around I would recomend them to everyone!! I called this company to fix an electrical water heater on a rental house and got a quote over the phone. The lady Lori who answered the phone told me it would be $127 to get someone out there plus any parts involved in fixing the issue. A technician named Dave went and it turned out that the main circuit was shut off and hence the heater was not working. Instead of charging me $127, I got a bill for $206. Dave said even though he didn't have to do anything to the water heater, he was stuck in tracffic on the way over and therefore I am being charged for the time he spent on the road. I was never quoted on the phone that tracffic time was part of the fee. In addition, when I was on the phone with Dave discussing the charges, he never mentioned that he was the owner and pretended that he was just an employee and had no authority to override the decision. He told me to call back and ask for Lori to straighten things out. When I called Lori, she was the one that told me Dave was the owner and she was never told that tracffic time was an addition charge. They also promised to mail or fax me a receipt and never did. This is really bad business practice and very dishonest people. more
