I call the supposed ""hair"" that grows on my head ""wicked pig hair"", lovingly of course. Never in my life have I received compliments on my hair until going to Liberty. She's cut my hair for years now, and without fail I have people ask me who does my hair, and how phenomenal it looks. I'm thrilled she's at the 220, what a perfectly hip, comfy salon. If you are 50 + and tired of stylists making you look like an ""old lady,"" you need to see Liberty. She promises to make you look beautiful and she does, every time. Liberty chooses just the right color and style to make you look your very best. She is careful to listen to what you want and when you leave the salon you feel good about yourself. She can recommend products to keep you hair looking great and gives you tips on how to style your hair. I travel from Eugene to see Liberty and am never disappointed with her services. Again, if you want to have a great cut, awesome color, and look 10 years younger, you need to give Liberty a call. more

I've been going to Liberty for my hair cuts and color for 4 years and they've never been less than exceptional. She is on the cutting edge of hair fashion. I would (and do) travel from near and far for the beautiful ms. jodie to do my color. absolutely the best hands down, in portland or otherwise. At first I didn't believe her, that she could color correct me into the godess that I am now. But her talent and skill are unmatched. My hair looks so good , its stupid. Thanks girl. I just moved up here a couple months ago and have been looking for a hairstylist. Last week I went to Kim to get my hair cut and was so impressed I came back a couple days later for color! She did an amazing job both times! I was unsure both times of what I wanted and Kim did an excellent job of finding something that works for me and looks SO much better than what I came in with! I highly recommend Kim if you're looking for a fun, creative hairstylist!!! more

I've been getting my hair done from Jodie for many years now. Jodie has a new hip, edgy, cool, and hot hair style each time I see her. It amazes me how she comes up with all those crazy hair styles. I love trying out new style and I'm one of those clients who say, ""Show me what you got!"" And it's not just the new hair styles. I love walking out of the salon without looking like I just got a fresh haircut, I?ve been in the military so I know what fresh haircut looks like, even though she just cut couple of inches off.\r \r I love the location...It's a hidden gem! You won't find this place if you're not looking. I also love the building and the decor, it's simple yet elegant. But what make this place truly unique is the people inside. Everyone is very friendly and makes you feel right at home. OMG!!!! JODIE turned me from a dark brunette into a beautiful buttery blonde! With no GOLD/ORANGE! Can you believe this? This was a time consuming process, and she was patient and well educated and made me feel absolutely glamorous! In a town full of salon's, 220 has built a reputation that supersedes any others. Their attention to style and the detail within it is evident in the stylist, the space and the atmosphere. Jodie has built an environment that welcomes people from any age and culture. I look forward to my appointments for those reasons coupled with the fact that all the stylists are pretty hot. more

Nicola gracefully saved me from a terrible home hair color disaster without lopping it all off. I have a very specific hair texture (v.curly) that can often end up just plain awful in the wrong hands. Nicola's got lots of experience not to mention crazy stories- ask her about Tammy Fae. She also does a wicked updo that doesn't make you look like a cake or a prom queen from 1986. And afterwards you can get oysters at Dan and Louis, as if good hair wasn't enough! I have been going to Andrea Husebye for haircuts for years and when I decided to go blonde after years of having black hair, she was all for it. She told me to grow it out and a few months later came the day I was finally able to go blonde. She spent over two hours with me to get it just right and I absolutely love it. My hair came out looking surprisingly healthy (and I have very fine and thin hair.) If you are looking for a great colorist or a great stylist she is the person to go to!!!! Pros: Great color and cuts!!!!! Cons: NONE!!!!! more

I've had my hair cut alot over the years, and rare is the stylist who will not only listen to what I want, but actually cut my hair that way. Andrea is the one. She is knowledgeable about every process hair can undergo, and does it well. She also understands when a person just wants to get a trim. more

This is the only salon in Portland I've been to that isn't hopelessly outdated in terms of stylistic vision. Carrie is the owner and she's great - very friendly, warm, and skilled. Very quick haircuts that look wonderful as soon as she puts her scissors down; none of that waiting a week for it to grow out business. Only downside is that her cuts don't grow out very well - the test of a true master stylist! But they're great cuts and certainly the best in Portland. Not expensive, either.
