The moment i walked in here i felt like i was back in college, beer pong going on, pitchers of beer and frat guys everywhere. The place was packed with cuties and i would say the ...

I wanted to love the place. Oh how I wanted to love it. I tried so hard, giving this place so many second chances, but at the end of the day, it came up short. Really great lay...

Be careful with Valet guys - they're thieves! 7/25/2010

My Lexus only responds when you have a key on you. Door won't open, trunk door wont open without a key anywhere need you. It's a safe car. Last night, I placed by hand bag in my trunk ... the valet guy saw me do this, and inside my trunk was my Professional camera - about 2k worth. Well lo and behold, my items were missing when I got back home last night! Someone needed a key to acces my trunk .. hmm who else could it be?? The Valet people. DON'T TRUST THEM!!!!! THEY'RE THIEVES!!!!! Park elsewhere, or don't leave any valuables in your car. THEY CAN'T BE TRUSTED. I HOPE THEY GET HERPES!! Cons: MAJOR more

We really like it 7/16/2010

we really like it when we can sit in a quieter section. that has gotten easier over the past year. we love the food but it was sometimes too loud to talk over dinner. thanks for making that easier. more

unique experience 7/13/2010

It was a unique experience. We went in for an early dinner, so it was slow, but it was fun, and the food, drink and service were all wonderful. I believe Brianna was the one taking care of us and she was cheerful, friendly and easy to talk to. more

Always a Happy Ending! 2/21/2010

One of my favorite spots in Hollywood, hands down. The atmosphere is a mix of a sports bar, college bar, and dance club all wrapped into one. It's a fun spot to hang out with friends on the weekends or throughout the week. It's fashioned after a New York sports bar and yes many of the guys running the joint are from New York. My first night there was on a Tuesday. It wasn't extremely crowded so I had a chance try their famous pizza, which was definitely a solid choice. Wednesday night is Kickball night, where a few kickball teams go after their games and kick it. Thursday is beer pong night where you pay $10 or so to enter and can win a $70 tab at the bar. Friday and Saturday are the craziest of all the nights though. The second floor is open during the weekend, which has beer pong and dancing. Also if you know the management / staff you can reserve a table for your group (be sure to do it in advance though and show up early enough to secure your own table). Getting there earlier that later is always the best choice. The line start about 11 to 11:30pm. If you get there around then and you're stuck line, I warned you. The line isn't terribly long, but doesn't move quickly once the place is packed, so make Happy Ending your first choice! A few highlights about this place: 1.The staff and management are pretty chill. I will say I was called out once for the baggy pants nonsense, but was still let in anyway with no problems. Then again I didn't recognize the bouncer either, so who knows. Otherwise I have no real complaints. In fact if you go during the week (Mon-Fri) ask for George once you're inside and tell him that P-Tyme sent you (no joke, do it). He's the man, hands down. 2. The food and drinks are pretty solid and inexpensive, especially if you are chill with the staff (it isn't hard, just don't be an ass. Also know all of the people working their are friends, so if one likes you, there's a chance they'll all like you). 3. The people are a usually a nice mix of college crown and professionals, which is a pretty difficult mix at other places. The ladies are usually pretty nice and the guys are generally chill. You really won't have to worry about getting your feathers ruffled here. The music is loud and will give you the idea that you stepped into a club after 11pm. Also on the weekend you have the choice of partying downstairs or chillin upstairs. 4. Did I mention this is one of those places where you may run into a celeb just chillin'. It's always cool, but leave them alone. 5. Plenty of street parking and valet parking if you choose to. Also there are plenty late night restaurants in the area, so you can grab food elsewhere if the mood strikes. 6. No Hollywood Bullshit. There is NO COVER. The dress code is lax, but still dress up a bit. It'll make sure you won't get any heat at the door from the bouncers. I recommend a nice shirt (if its collared shirt, then make sure its long sleeve) with jeans/slacks and nice shoes/sneaks (no sandals). Dressy Casual and up if that helps. 7. Lobster crane game. For $2 a game you can play the crane game to get a lobster dinner. If you get a lobster, they cook it for you! All in all, if you are tired of clubbin or just want to find a hot spot to go at night, I highly recommend this place. Pros: Fun atmosphere, Friendly Staff, Excellent Food Cons: Line forms after 10:30, so be sure it's first on your list! more

Great Food, Great Place to Bring Your Work Group 9/16/2009

I brought everyone from my office here for a party and they all had a great time! The food was fabulous, the drinks were priced well and they were constantly spinning their drink wheel (you should see it!) offering up drink discounts!! I would definitely recommend having a party here or coming for lunch or dinner, great food! Pros: Food, Price, Atmosphere, Staff more

Great bar food! 8/25/2009

For being a bar in Hollywood, the food is amazing! I recommend the filet sliders! Pros: Food and location. Cons: None. more

not worth the effort 8/9/2009

From the valet to the bouncers to the bartenders, if the staff decides that they don't like you that day, you'll have to wait an hour to get anything. I waited for 50 minutes to get my car from valet, cuz the guy let every blond girl cut the line. I understand if they pushed in their favorites inbetween every couple of people in line, but it was ridiculous. The doorman was rude, and the female bartenders upstairs kept skipping me to fill drinks for guys and flirt for tips to the point where it took 30 minutes to get a single drink. There were random nice employees, but they didn't make up for the 90% that were jerks. The inside was packed and dirty, and I spent most of my 3 hours there at the bar trying to get a drink or food instead of having fun. It's just not worth it, when there are plenty of places nearby that have better facilities and don't let you to die everywhere if you're no one of their fav regulars. Pros: beer pong, decent music, okay food for a bar Cons: most of the staff are rude and finicky, slow service, dirty more

Multiple Cameras Observerving ones every Move 8/8/2009

My second time at ""Happy Endings."" After engaging a longterm friend, I was escorted out by one of the security personel becuase I was observed by one of the Thirty Seven Cameres. Yes 37 cameras and was determined intoxicated and removed of my paid for drinks. After a brief interraction, the security personal determined that I was just fine and may go back inside, less my paid for drinks. Thirty seven cameras!!! No thank you very much. Give me my car and let me leave with a quick goodbye of my veryy good celebrity friends, as well as a beautiful girl who I have known for years. If you are a classy individual who enjoys a carefree enviorment, you will not be satisfied with this place. If you are a young and want a carefree enviorment go to Red Rock or Cabo Cantina. This place is very low end. Pros: No Pros Cons: At Anytime you may be pulled aside for questioning. more

Happy Ending? Try Angry, Arrogant Ending 7/26/2009

Nothing about the restaurant, this is about the late-night bar half: I didn't even get to see the inside of ""Happy Ending"". Two friends of our liked it a lot, and so we left WeHo and drove about fifteen minutes to get to the bar before last call. In our group of five, two were refused entry very briefly and rudely. I'm almost 23 and have never had a problem with my legitimate Texas I.D., and my other rejected friend has actually been to the bar before. Our 18-year-old friend who made her fake I.D. that afternoon AND was so drunk she couldn't walk straight got in without complication. The bouncer took one look at my I.D., not me, and said ""That's fake, have a good night"". When I tried to say something to him, he said ""I told you once, now get off my porch"". When I asked another bouncer for an explanation, he said he didn't care what I had to say, his boss had already talked to me. Apparently, that main rude bouncer was not only head doorman, but manager of the whole bar. As another bouncer approached ME to mention, a second I.D. would have fixed the problem, and if the manager had asked me or given me a chance, I would have given him one. He then tried to convince me that he was close to last call, and it wasn't really worth it to get in anyway, but I'd be welcome back another time if I was nicer at the door. Seriously? Any manager who can handle a customer like that doesn't deserve my business, and when I read how they treat other customers and their supposed connection with numerous drunk driving incidents, I figured I should speak up to readers. I do not recommend this bar, especially not on a Saturday night. Pros: No idea Cons: Bouncer/Manager/Asshole more

Overpriced Bad Service 7/15/2009

I wanted to love the place. Oh how I wanted to love it. I tried so hard, giving this place so many second chances, but at the end of the day, it came up short. Really great layout/concept for the bar. Has the back home sports bar feel that we all love, but is missing the heart. Way overpriced drinks. TERRIBLE service. Four times in a row it has taken 5-10 minutes to even be acknowledged by a server. I'm sure that the place is making money, so they probably won't take the time to properly train the managers or the staff any time soon. Good luck guys. Pros: Cool Layout Cons: Prices & Service more

Um...NO. 5/30/2009

All I can say is, this must be the mouth the Hell. They clientele was unattractive, unintelligent, and frankly...just creepy. I had to tell one guy that I cooked meth in my kitchen in order to get him away from me. Terrible, terrible amalgam of the worst Hollywood has to offer. Go elsewhere. Pros: reasonable valet parking, i guess? Cons: crowd, and everything else more

not much honesty in advertising 3/22/2009

We went in to Happy Endings to watch a little March Madness. The menu that was posted on the bar said 2 for 1 mimosas between 2pm and 4pm. On the same menu it said salad was $7. But, when the bill came we were surprised to have been charge full price for the 3 drinks and $11 for the salad. The bartender brought the manager over and he stated these were Happy Hour prices and it was ""industry standard"" that those prices are only good Monday through Friday even though that was not posted on menu. Well, I don't work in the ""industry"" so unless it is posted I wouldn't know that. I suggested to him that they give the correct pricing on the menu so people know what they are spending...especially in this economy. He comp'd us one mimosa but didn't adjust the salad and on top of that charged us a $1 upcharge for each martini...which also was not printed on the menu. He said the upcharge was charged on all martini's because of the type of glass???? I would have to compare this experience with buying a used car. I felt like I needed a lawyer to complete the transaction. Needless to say I won't be going back there as I like goind places where they aren't shady with their prices. Pros: Good Drinks Cons: Misleading prices more

Do not even bother. 3/3/2009

We had such a bad time and the service was horrible. I've been here before for just drinks and even then it wasn't that great, but if you're trying to get food here...don't. The food was bad, the server was not nice, it wasn't a good time. Like I said. Don't bother. more

OVERPRICED RIP OFF WHERE NOBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME 2/23/2009

New to Los Angeles from New York I was happy to see a New York themed sports bar in walking distance from my new apartment. After going to happy ending about ten times I have finally reached my breaking point. Pros: Walking distance to home Cons: complete lack of hospitality, EXTREMELY expensive drinks (club prices) more

drink but don't eat! 2/7/2009

If you go here, do not - do NOT - order food. It's a fine bar if you're looking for just a bar. Music, booze, people and dancing. Fine. But don't get duped into thinking you should eat there too. The food is inedible. I'm sorry to be so harsh, but we ordered four separate dishes and each one tasted like it had turned. Not just cooked poorly, or poor seasoning choices, but like it was actually spoiled. Beware! Pros: valet parking Cons: terrible food more
