this is pretty much just an average sports bar, decent size, reasonable prices. not a bad place to watch the lakers game more

Bartenders are super friendly, people are down to earth. ?All in all this bar is pretty fun. ?Nothing special about it but Happy Ending will promise you that, a pretty darn good Happy Ending, and a content night. more

Quite the Happy Ending... 3/23/2011

Happy Ending, I have spent many a nights at your humble abode and have been happily pleased. ?This bar is a dive bar in the heart of Hollywood. ?Valet is only $4, drinks are around $6, pretty good prices for a place in Hollywood. ?This venue is rather large with 2 floors. ?friendly bar tenders, and an overall fun vibe. ?On Thursday nights they have a beer pong tournament, made me feel like college all over again. ?On Wednesday nights they have karaoke. ?I must make my way here for those nights as I love belting out tunes even though I can not sing for my life. ? more

I will go back 3/3/2011

Basically, it's a free college party for early-mid 20 somethings. Nothing glamorous but it often turns into a good time on a Thursday. Upstairs is Beer Pong, down stairs is dancing. Good College-feel vibe. There's a 1:2 girl-guy ratio (maybe worse) but there's usually a few decent groups of ladies to mingle with. Also good drink specials. DESERTS ARE KILLER HERE 3/2/2011

The deserts are killer! I just have to say the Bunuelos are my new dream dessert. We also tried the S'Mores plate, which comes complete with a mini-fire to toast the marshmallows. The waiter's enthusiasm was cute when he stood there waiting to see my reaction at my first taste. Overall, the service was really great more

no cover 2/17/2011

Most drinks are $5. No cover. No line to get in if you go before 11:00. Valet parking but if you look around on the streets behind the bar you can usually find something. It gets pretty crowded but is a lot of fun! Dancing upstairs more

Good Specials, Good Food, Huge Menu 2/9/2011

I'm not the typical Happy Endings patron and I'm not going to tell you what a typical Happy Ending patron is for fear of offending people. I will say that it's never a bad night at Happy Ending. Well, mostly, because I roll with the Los Angeles Dodgeball Society which entitles me to feel super special whenever I go there. more

Great time here 1/20/2011

I went for New Years Eve and they tried to rock it with a 1920's theme. Cute concept right? Flapper dresses, hand bands, and no cover- it was too exciting. Even the bouncers suited up. But word of warning: it's TERRIBLEly difficult to dance with 1920's music, unless you were born in that era or know how to swing. Lucky for us (and them!) they changed the tunes at 11pm. Anyway, the people here are fun. I remember random NYE's head wear being taken/exchanged on my head, tons of tooting, counting down multiple times for NYE's in the east coast and not being sure when it was finally the pacific zone's turn, and not having to wait more than a minute for my next drink despite the massive partying around. Great place for a ghetto fabulous 'happy ending' the previous year. more

Good place to chill to those crazy hollywood nights :) 1/13/2011

I came here to watch the Wild Card playoff games yesterday. ?I have to say, this place was about as laid back as it gets in Hollywood. ?There were plenty of screens around the bar area (where I was seated) so it's great for watching sports. ?The bar is centrally located which makes it great for people-watching as well. I had the Happy Burger for lunch and it was delicious. ?My goodness. ?I don't know what they put on that bad boy but it definitely hit the spot. ?My mouth is watering just thinking about it. ?Now I just drooled on my keyboard. ?See what you made me do, Happy Ending? As far as the crowd goes, it's a bit ... monochromatic shall we say, with some exceptions. ?I'm fine with that. ?If you are looking for the All American type of guy or gal, this just may be the spot for you. ?Cap and the other bartenders seem like swell guys. ?More than a few of the server chicks are cute. ?I think this bar is pretty aptly named. ?Good place for a chill, happy ending to those crazy Hollywood nights. more

For the past few months, like clockwork, every week after kickball we end up at Happy Ending for pizza and pitchers. It's a great place to get together with a big group and engage in some intense games of beer pong, flip cup and my new favorite - civil war! more

Wide range of music 12/24/2010

The first time I popped my head into Happy Endings was with a few friends back in September; we went out for a night on the town, trying to get into some ""new, hip club."" Well, as usually happens with those kind of joints, the line was long and the people were pretty douchey. ?So, not to be persuaded out of partying, we went to Happy Ending to get our drink on. ?The place was jam packed and the music was great - ranging from some oldies (""Return of the Mack"") to some goodies (great, new electro!). ? more

For my first year in LA, I would drive by Happy Ending and laugh at the name; over time, however, I've grown quite fond of the spot. It's the quintessential LA dive bar and the perfect mix of Hollywood and Hipster. more

I came here after work for some Happy Hour Goodness... and I got treated right!!! The Bartenders were the s***. Good conversationalists, not to mention they know how to pour a drink. Try the salad with the sesame dressing. amazingly good. more
