Nothing about the restaurant, this is about the late-night bar half:
I didn't even get to see the inside of ""Happy Ending"". Two friends of our liked it a lot, and so we left WeHo and drove about fifteen minutes to get to the bar before last call. In our group of five, two were refused entry very briefly and rudely. I'm almost 23 and have never had a problem with my legitimate Texas I.D., and my other rejected friend has actually been to the bar before. Our 18-year-old friend who made her fake I.D. that afternoon AND was so drunk she couldn't walk straight got in without complication.
The bouncer took one look at my I.D., not me, and said ""That's fake, have a good night"". When I tried to say something to him, he said ""I told you once, now get off my porch"". When I asked another bouncer for an explanation, he said he didn't care what I had to say, his boss had already talked to me. Apparently, that main rude bouncer was not only head doorman, but manager of the whole bar. As another bouncer approached ME to mention, a second I.D. would have fixed the problem, and if the manager had asked me or given me a chance, I would have given him one. He then tried to convince me that he was close to last call, and it wasn't really worth it to get in anyway, but I'd be welcome back another time if I was nicer at the door. Seriously?
Any manager who can handle a customer like that doesn't deserve my business, and when I read how they treat other customers and their supposed connection with numerous drunk driving incidents, I figured I should speak up to readers. I do not recommend this bar, especially not on a Saturday night.
Pros: No idea
Cons: Bouncer/Manager/Asshole
