Park at your own Risk 1/3/2023

I’ve been parking at Extra Car for years and now I find that doesn’t matter. My car was damaged ($2000+ - deep gouges in the paint) while parked in their lot. I called daily and sent emails and not gotten a single response. This is their standard approach. They claim it is never their fault - check other reviews, check the BBB site. Avoid this lot - there are plenty of others. more

I have been using Extra Car Airport Parking for many years. Always had great service. The shuttle drivers are so helpful and friendly and my car is always waiting for me on my return. They continue to improve as well! I just arrived back from a trip yesterday and they had upgraded their entrance area. Looks great guys. Fast, Friendly and Very Affordable. I like to use Family Owned Businesses. The staff makes you feel welcome, the shuttle drivers are very helpful, and the prices are great. Everytime I park, my car is waiting in front of the building on return and the staff is thankful for our business. Great Parking Location 3/15/2011

I park with Extra Car Airport Parking monthly for about the last 4 years. The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent. On my last stay, I left my cell phone in my car and the manager made arrangements to Fedex the phone overnight. The staff goes over and beyond and they have a customer for life. Fast reliable and courteous service 6/15/2010

I am now purchasing my second 30 day parking pass with them. I left my car with them for 2 weeks more than once and had no problems. The employees are friendly and attentive. They are quick to get you there. As an added bonus, they have eco-friendly vans (well...I am from the Seattle area). Just my opinion, but I think that there may be companies that may try to leave bad reviews for this company in hopes to improve their own business. more

I am very surprised about some of the comments posted about Extra Car. I found the service to be excellent and the staff was very accommodating. I would use this company again for my travel needs. I did notice that one of the reviews online seems to be a duplicate... perhaps the same disgruntled person is writing different reviews for the same company over and over again. Makes you wonder if the reviews are valid? I would use Extra Car again and recommend them for parking! more

I am surprised to see bad reviews for this company. Everyone was very nice, helpful and the service was quick. I am a first time user and will definitely be back. It is really too bad that the Internet is so readily accessible to anyone to post anything. Two of the reviews online appear to be from the same person... Perhaps the negative comments are being posted by the same person over and over? I say good job to Extra Car and their staff. more

LOUSY! I will never park at Extra Car again 8/26/2009

I will never park at Extra Car again. I only wish I had read these other reviews before I parked there. I made the mistake of parking my almost pristine car there, and when I came back, I found that my car had scratches across the back of the trunk, on the doors, and the paint on the outside of the mirrors has been scratched on one side, and almost completely scraped off on the other (driver's) side. The worst thing is we got back when it was almost dark, so I didn't see the damage until I got into the car the next day. The scratches on the driver's side mirror actually look as if someone tried to cover them up with some sort of cheap paint. I'm not sure I'm even going to bother calling them, because it sounds (from the other reviews) as if they just blow you off anyway. I really don't need to have insult added to injury. more

The Worst!!!! 8/24/2009

Do not park here unless you want to pick up a damaged car. Parked my car here for 10 days, came back and there was over $1300 worth of damages on it (side view mirror was ripped off and scratched down the side of the car. I was promised by one of the owners that they would pay for the damages, and have failed to do so. This has been going on since May, and this week I will be getting my lawyer involved. more

Bad Bad Parking Choice 5/14/2009

Good: The only good thing I have to say it that they had shuttles running often.. Bad: At the end of my trip I picked up my car, they informed me my car was damaged. I was given a supervisors name to call (Michael). We took ownership for the damages and told me to get quote and he would pay to fix the damage. I have called him everyday since then and he won't return my calls. I have been told that he is the only person who can deal with the situation. I guess they don't care they've got my $$, and it's not their car that has $1300 in damage.. Other: I would never recommend this place, ever.. more

BEWARE 4/5/2009

Our car was broken into while parked there. The manager/owner first said they would take care of replacing the broken window. He said 9 other cars were broken into the same night. Three weeks later our bmw window still is not fixed, the manager won't return calls. AND the cars are driven off of the main lot to a lot across town. Obviously that lot has no security. more

Extra Car Airport Parking. Family Owned, Operated and serving Seattle for 4 generations. Websites that compile surveys by guests searching for ways to post information are not usually a good way to obtain valid and acurate information. I recommend searching for sites that accept reservations for parking and that ask each and every guest for feedback if you are basing your descision on others experience. Most people do not go out of their way to post positive feedback, unless it is made easy to do. IE. I use a facility to park, they send me a survey, I filled it out and responded. Extra Car Airport Parking ranks 4.5 stars on www.aboutairportparking.com, www.airportparkingreservations.com and consistently provides 4.5 stars on their own website, www.extracar.com. I am going out of my way to make sure that everyone knows that this is a good company and they care about their guests. I have used Extra Car Airport Parking for 13 years. Never been dissapointed. Great staff, friendly and helpful drivers, and they keep their prices affordable. What more can you ask for? more

I have used Extra Car a lot - never again 10/28/2008

I have used Extra Car about 10 times in 3 years. Everything was fine until last May. I picked up my car, scratches on the front bumper. I dont mean minor. 3 sets, quarter to half inch wide, 6 inches long. The most infuriating thing though was that some inexpensive prayer beads hanging from the mirror were gone. They have sentimental value to me only. The owner responded (though a bit slowly) and refunded my fees for the week. It doesnt cover the damage to my car nor the loss of my beads. Beware! more

"EXTRA CAR" -- be Extra Careful 4/14/2007

I'd recommend staying away from this lot, and all others that "valet". What they do is move your car to a holding lot and what I have experienced is lots of scratches (probably from parking too close) and a break in. Look for lots with constant customer activity where prowlers are less likely to strike. more

beware "Extra Car" 6/15/2006

It's been many months now and I had all but forgotten this experience but when I saw the post asking for recommendations for airport parking and someone mentioned Ace Extra Car (which I think may be a different company with a similar name?) I had to put in my two cents! I tried this place for the first time last year and it seemed great--easy in, fast trip to the airport, quick pickup on return--until they brought my car back to me at the end of my trip with the front bumper hanging halfway off. The bumper had apparently been caught on the curb in the storage lot and had been yanked off on one side. The driver admitted that they did it, and even admitted that they were instructed to park the cars way up close to (that is, on top of) the curbs at their storage lots to make more room, because "it's cheaper to fix front bumpers than back bumpers that stick out too far and get clipped." He was great, very apologetic and very helpful and I had no doubt the manager he referred me to would make it right. I assumed they would offer to pay to fix the problem for me or at the very least would comp my parking fee. Sorry, but no. There was basically no desire to remedy the error and certainly no desire to keep me as a customer. The manager got in touch with me a couple of days later (after I called twice) and first claimed I must have some kind of unusual tricked-out car (which if you saw me or my car you would realize is ridiculous--I have a bottom-of-the-line Jetta wagon, and while the bumper is on the low side it's standard issue, no frills and no tricks) and after a bit of back and forth reluctantly suggested that I bring the car down to someplace he knew about down by the airport and they would fix it for me. Of course, this is about a half hour drive from my house, not the least bit convenient, and who are these guys who would be fixing it anyway. I sent him pictures of the damage via email and told him I would like to have my own dealer fix it and send them the bill; the whole bumper has to be removed for it to be fixed properly, and it's a relatively new car with low miles. I suggested in the alternative that he should put me in touch with his insurance company. I never heard back. Some other stuff happened in my life just then and I let it slide, since I was able to shove the bumper back on so it's more or less ok (I have to re-shove it on every so often)(yes, I am too cheap to get it fixed properly). It still bugs me though and I probably should follow up one of these days. In any case, beware! Apparently, returning your car to you in the shape you left it with them is not part of the service they are offering. more
