Best

I have continued to return to Capitol because I am always treated extremely well by very friendly people. And the service is excellent.

Worst

All went well for me through my negotiations online - David was responsive and helped me get what I wanted. Things went south for me when it came to closing the deal. The Financ...

Quick Lane at Capital Ford 5/12/2009

The new quick lane at Capital Ford is great. The advisor Robert is very polite, honest, and gets the job done. He wont try to sell you something you dont need. I have brought a few of my cars to him, and everytime have had a great experience. I have dealt with many dealerships, and although the service department at Capital Ford isnt that great, the Quick Lane is fantastic!! more

Worst Ford Dealership EVER 11/2/2008

WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY WITH FORD! They will NOT honor it... My dad, a loyal Ford customer who has been a loyal Ford customer (though not this particular dealership) for over two decades, was recently screwed over by THIS dealership.\r \r Capitol Ford blatantly lied about a part for my dad's truck being covered under the EXTENDED warranty that he purchased. Even though he checked up on this with a DIFFERENT FORD DEALER, and CONFRONTED Capitol Ford about it, they would not refund him his money. Additionally, they dented his running boards and tried to claim that the dent (a HUGE dent, not a ding) was ""there before,"" even though the paint embedded in the dent was identical to the paint covering the walls, posts, etc. They finally said they'd replace them at no charge. Um yeah, b/c their argument held NO weight. However, my dad is still out over $500 for something that should have been covered under the expensive EXTENDED warranty.\r \r My dad has had to call ESP Ford as well as the headquarters in Detroit to complain. They will reimburse him, but there are NO consequences for the liars working at Capitol Ford. For a company that is not doing so well in these hard times, you would think that they would be trying to KEEP their customers, not drive them away. But apparently, they just don't care anymore. My question is... how can these blatant liars still be in business?\r \r IF YOU DO BUSINESS WITH CAPITOL FORD, BEWARE! THEY WILL TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU, THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR AGREEMENTS, AND THEY WILL BLATANTLY LIE TO YOU WITH NO COMPUNCTION WHATSOEVER! CHECK YOUR WARRANTY... OR BETTER YET, SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE Pros: there aren't any. Cons: customer service, basic ethics more

Capitol Expressway Ford- Filled with a bunch of unethical liars 11/1/2008

The only reason this even gets a star is because it won't let me process this review with 0 stars. Pretend it's not there, please.\r \r WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY WITH FORD! They will NOT honor it... My dad, a loyal Ford customer who has been dealing with Ford (though not this particular dealership) for over two decades, was recently screwed over by THIS dealership.\r \r In mid-October 2008, he brought the truck in to repair a fuel leak... the next day, he went to pick up the truck. He then checked under the hood, and it was easy to see that the leak had not been repaired as it was still leaking in the same place my dad had shown the service advisor when he first dropped it off. Oddly enough, the invoice stated "Replaced the fuel filter housing assy- Recheck no more leaks." The part cost $42.47, and he was charged $337.50 for labor and a $100 deductible, paying a total of $483.47. All of this should have been covered under the expensive warranty that my dad was p more

Sucky 8/8/2008

My wife and I totally got ripped by these guys on our new Ford Explorer. The car was nice, but the experience was terrible. They ""got"" us in every way possible.\r \r I'll definitely use Edmunds from now on and never walk into this place again if I ever want a Ford again.\r \r Boy, I wish we could give zero stars. more

Buyer beware 7/20/2008

My first new car purchase with the original ownership was wonderful. I returned to Capitol Expressway Ford to purchase a used vehicle the experience has been a nightmare. They used hard sell pressure. They lied about the retail price of the vehicle quoting me a price that was more than the new vehicle price, on an attempt to show a larger discounted price. \r \r The sales person assured me that everything worked on the vehicle and that it had been checked over by the service department. The drivers door key lock is supposed to unlock all doors at once it doesn't, only one key slot for the entire vehicle. The drivers door outer skin is loose and rattles when the door closes. After purchasing the vehicle I discovered there was only one key. When I asked about this their answer is all vehicles come with on;y one key.\r A duplicate key costs $180.00, I asked them to split the cost with me on the interest of customer relations, they refused. It is impossible to get a replacement key made more

Service from hell 2/1/2008

TWO BAD EXPERIENCES\r \r 1st was a 60K service; when I picked up my car, the "check engine" light was on, so I had to leave it for another day so they could resolve the problem. DIDN'T ANY OF AT LEAST 2 PEOPLE WHO MOVED OR DROVE THIS CAR NOTICE? Maybe it was a fluke so I gave them another chance one month later\r \r 2nd was a water leak; I was assured that the part was in stock but later (3:00pm) told that it would have to be ordered. They either left the car out in the rain or didn't vacuum the water out of the car from the water test. DIDN'T ANYONE BOTHER TO CLEAN UP WATER FROM THE BACK FLOOR OF THE CAR FOR 2 DAYS?\r \r All they could do is offer me a "free next service"...AND I WOULD BRING MY CAR BACK TO YOU BECAUSE... more

Everyone was friendly & helpful. A wonderful experience! 11/4/2007

I recently took my 2002 Ford Mustang in for service at Capitol Expressway Ford. The ?Service Engine Soon? light had turned on. The moment I stepped out of my car at the Service Area I was greeted and introduced to my Service Advisor Declan. Declan told me what most likely caused the light to go on and he was right on seeing my car has been running great and has always been serviced on time. Declan continued to handle the processing of the paperwork with my extended warranty & Enterprise Rent-A-Car. He called me in a very timely manner and let me know the status of my car, the estimate, and when the work would be completed. In just a matter of hours he called me back stating the car was ready. All the paperwork was processed with the warranty & Enterprise. My bill was $25.00. In the short time Capitol Ford had my car when I would call and leave messages for Declan he returned them in a very timely manner. I was also introduced to Jarred Jones, Customer Relations Director. more

HORRIBLE PLACE, Its like HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL 7/31/2007

Me and my husband were mearly looking at cars they wouldnt let us leave. I would have had to cause a scene to leave. They offered us what seemed like a deal until we get in the back and the price is several thousands more. they tried to sell us a car with 1000 miles on it as brand new. It was horrible. Then they wanted to follow us home, they are serious creeps. They called me from several numbers, several blocked numbers, it was a nightmare. \r Go anywhere else but there. more

Avoid at all costs 7/28/2007

My only contact with Capitol Expressway Ford was over the phone and now I can't get rid of them! \r \r I began shopping for a car in early February of this year (2007) and called Capitol Expressway Ford regarding their inventory. I did not purchase a car from them, but apparently my phone numbers, both cell and home, are in their system for all of eternity as I am still getting calls from them! I tell each and every salesman who calls; Rick, George, Frank (?), etc, that I purchased a car elsewhere last February and will not be purchasing another for several years. I have also asked each and every salesman who has called to have my information removed from their database and/or place me on their "no call" list. None of this makes one damned bit of difference to Capitol Expressway Ford. \r \r Just this morning, July 28th, I received calls to both my cell and home phones from the Capitol Expressway sales force - again. This time I tried responding by e-mail via their website. The initial res more

Thanks, Capitol Expressway 7/19/2007

I recently purchased a new Saleen Mustang at Capitol Expressway Ford. Despite the fact that me wife wanted a conversion van. Rick Martinez the salesman was very helpful and helped me to persuade the love of my life that we could buy my dream car now. He also agreed to help her find a van that meets all of her criteria. The store is obviously family owned and operated as we got to meet the Owner and his son. Sergio and Rudy. I am extremely pleased with the way we were treated and proud of my new purchase. My wife likes the car also !!!!!! more

Great Service...Finally 5/28/2007

Finally after several attempts Capitol Expressway Ford's Service department got it right. My Explorer was making a strange clicking noise that 2 other Dealers couldn't seem to find. Capitol found the problem (cassette belt) right away and fixed it right the first time. Everyone was really nice and I will definitely be back. Thanks..... more

Best Experience Ever 5/28/2007

The guys at Capitol Expressway are WORLD CLASS. My salesperson was very helpful and we never felt any pressure to purchase. We got the price we wanted and the best part was that it did not take all day! We even got to meet the owner....who personally thanked us for our business. more

Really Bad Customer Service 10/8/2006

My husband and I visited Capitol Expressway Ford yesterday and had the worst experience ever. We spoke to the first sales associate who refused to answer a question about their rebates until we picked out a truck. When we said we wanted to know about their rebate on a specific truck he still wouldn't answer and when I pushed him on it, he threw his hands in the air and said he wouldn't work with me. We then spoke with the next associate who said he was the sales manager which I find hard to believe. He proceeded to drive us around the lot stopping every once in a while telling us that the F150 FX4 was the same as the other trucks he was showing us, minus the FX4 sticker. Before we knew it, he had us sitting down inside to go over financing which was funny because at this point he had failed to find us the truck we wanted. After sitting for a couple of minutes we decided we had had enough and walked outside. He tried to tell my husband not to let me make the decision and then when we sa more

Good parts department 7/24/2006

Never fails, when I need a part for my 1996 explorer they have one in stock. \r \r The past few times I have been there it's been great and excellent service. In and out in no time, even with a line.\r \r I fix my own vehicle so I just go here for the parts. more

Bad repairs 7/21/2006

The purpose of this letter is to formally submit a complaint, and to put the facts of a particular situation on record. Due to the profound ineptitude of your employees not only has my trust in your company been completely destroyed, but suspicion of misconduct now surround your name.\r \r The problem that I have been having is at Friendly Ford in San Jose California. This problem started in December of 2006. I took my 1997 ford explorer to Friendly Ford for servicing. I was told at that time (over the phone by a man named Ray Bergthold) that my car needed some engine work that would cost me about $2500. I had also asked Ray to check out my air/heater, which did not work and was told that I needed some major work done for about $1500. I authorized the engine work and did not authorize the air/heater work. About four weeks later the Ford dealership called and said that unfortunately my car no longer ran (it ran fine when I took it in) and that I needed a new engine and it would cos more
