I'm in the book business, 33 years now. I've used many many different storage places, dozens all over the Bay Area. But about 15 years ago I discovered Payless, and I've never looked back! I've rented many units there, big spaces, little spaces, and just rented two units there this week, they really are the best around for price, quality and service. And if you actually go around to the other typical places you'll quickly understand that many storage operations are dirty, poorly lit, unsafe, friendly when you are renting, and unfriendly soon as you have signed up and moved in!\r

But besides being a a great operation, they also have something that is unique I think, an on-site mover guy, Dave Franks, who has helped me for most of the last 15 years, (call first to arrange), a good guy for sure, not the cheapest but he is a pro, has all the moving equipment, and works hard and fast
