Horrible service..awful..there?s just no nicer way to put it & still be truthful. We were still awaiting our drink order to be taken after 15 min...& then there was an extremely long wait even then for those drinks to be delivered. Bruschetta was soggy & had to be salted to get any flavor. Entrees..Penne Ferre was passable. Chicken Romano was bland & lukewarm. Veal Carciofi was lukewarm as well & tasted like the chef had used an entire bottle of lemon juice on it?maybe to try to counteract the tough meat! Tortelloni Amorosa was a failure too?the Bolognese sauce was cold & had to be covered with salt & red pepper for any flavor. Back to the service?our waiter didn?t stop at being just plain bad, he even went on to being just plain rude & totally unhelpful. Whenever we needed anything, we literally had to flag him down & then were met with what might as well have been a roll of his eyes. When drink glasses were empty, never were we offered another. Long waits were the norm throughout the meal. But the real kicker came when we asked a simple question about the supposed Tortelloni??Sir, isn?t this Ravioli?? upon looking at the large squares on the plate. (last time I checked Tortellini was a ring-shaped pasta) As our completely uninformed & utterly rude waiter was asked this question, he not only kept his distance of standing 2 tables away, but also continued walking away while ?answering? our question. As he literally shrugged his shoulders, he simply said (I kid you not), ?I don?t know?that?s just the way we serve it?, & kept on walking. Dumbfounded by his total impoliteness..we actually all laughed in disbelief. The poor svc was even harder to take given this was on a night when the restaurant was 1/2 empty. I couldn?t even chalk up his lack of attention to a packed house?no, it was just the opposite?it was a slow night when he had nothing but time on his hands. I certainly would hate to see what the service is like when the place is crowded & waiters are swamped.
