And that something would be "Magnificent". The food is absolutely incredible. I could go on and on about the amazing chicken fried chicken with Dijon mustard gravy or the fresh green beans or the homemade foccacia, but let's be honest, everyone wants to know about the atmosphere.
The atmosphere at M may be the second reason my wife and I go there so much (next to the food of course.) If we are going to the wind symphony, showing up in a coat and tie with my wife in tow in her evening finest would not cause anyone to bat an eye. Likewise, if we just finished a long day of a yard work, a quick shower, jeans and a baseball cap will not draw an additional glance either.
M is one of the few places in Dallas where you can come as you are and the place not only accepts it, but welcomes it. Sit on the patio and watch a baseball game or find a more romantic corner to charm your date. It's all possible at M.

Thats what they are known for. Being rude is why you want to go here. They wait staff are hired on how rude they can be. The food is pretty good. Mostly you want to go here for the drinks and atmosphere.

This CEC has to be the worst I have ever been to. It took several minutes to get the cashier's attention to take our order. We seemed to have interrupted her conversation with a friend. Several games took our tokens and the guy in the referee shirt refused to reimburse the kids.

This donut shop would have Homer in a tizzy. Homer: "Oooo.delecta-ma-ble." I would however caution one against the sausage rolls. They taste kind of funky to me. The glazed donuts, donut holes and buttermilk donuts are to die for. They are so good I gained 15 pounds while pregnant feeding my urge.

This donut shop has to be hands down the best in Oak Cliff. Everything from the donuts to the sausage rolls are yummy. The apple fritters are the biggest my husband has seen. They are closed on Mondays so that is the only negative. The cashier is the friendliest lady I know at 6 am.

This is a great pub to enjoy yourself and others company. THey are very easy to locate, right off the DART train at Mockingbird Station. They have live music which is played in the pub every Thursday thru Saturday nights. It is a lot of fun. Do you not have plans on a Monday night, go down to the pub they play poker here every Monday night. Its a real blast.

I went to this location not too long ago. The food was pretty tasty - everything seemed fresh and was very hot. All of the entrees were very good that I tried - the sweet and sour chicken is my fave, and of course, crab rangoon. I loved their fried rice and their egg drop soup - which can sometimes be bland. I recommend this place of you are in the area - but it is not the absolute best Chinese buffet around. I am still trying to find the best! :)

My wife and I went there for lunch one Saterday afternoon and found it to be ok, though not amazing. They served us pretty fast, which was nice. I had the fajitas, and while they were fresh, I've had better at other restaurants not to mention home made. It seems like it does get buisy on occassion, but during the day time it's pretty empty. My wife and I love the location, though, because there are lots of great little shops in the Knox Henderson area. Check it out if you like Tex-Mex, otherwise, you could pass without missing much.

Great food, as always. Not my favorite location, however. This location is almost always packed and noisy; parking can be quite difficult when busy; and the restaurant gets very smoky very easily. But the food is consistently good if you don't mind the slight inconvenience. They have the most wonderful brown rice! Almost everything I have had there is good. Good edamame too.
In my opinion, the other (recently opened) Uptown Pei Wei is a better option.

If you are hungry for Mexican food, but don't want the guilt of eating it, try Baja Fresh. They have a wide variety of things on their menu. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is always clean. The service is fast food style, but the food isn't. The fajita steak has great flavor!
