I took my two dogs here 2 times. The first time I took them I felt like I was not listened to when I dropped them off. I shrugged it off as a one time thing because my vet said they liked this groomer. (they are right down the street from the vet). So I ignored my gut feeling and took them again. What a MISTAKE!
I have two shih tzu puppies and I like them to have a fluffy puppy cut. (I think the shaved down short hair everywhere except for ears and tail, typical shih tzu cut, is ugly and makes the breed look like a gremlin) that of course is just my preference.
Well when I took them the 2nd time, I explained I wanted their muzzles short only and maybe just trim up the fluffiness everywhere else. Well when I picked up my dogs, they were shaved down into the shih tzu cut which makes them look skinny and scrawny. Not to mention the cut was choppy looking on their faces and not even everywhere. My once beautiful bouncy fluffy dogs now looked like a bad representation of Valcor from the never ending story. I am so sad. I was crying . I live with the knowledge that hair grows back and that I will never ever take my dogs back to this groomer. They do not listen and consider what the owner wants to have done. They take bits and pieces to make you feel like you are listened to, then do what they want. I know this is their business and I am not a groomer, but for what I received for $90 dollars at this groomer I could have done myself with a pair of blunt clippers at home. Very disappointed..if you choose to go here, please make sure your needs are clarified and known before leaving.
