First impression is WOW! Nice green grass and lots of trees! Looks great! And then you move in... PROS: looks nice and great for walking or jogging through the different courtyards. Nice size patio/balcony. Small gated park in back for parties or even close the gate and use it as a dog park (well maintained). The grounds are very well maintained. Maintenance staff is very friendly and quick to respond. Most of the tenants are friendly. *** After moving in I wish I searched around better…*** CONS: PARKING!!! It is horrible! If you don’t get home before 6pm then forget about finding a parking place in the complex. You will have to go across Bushard to the track homes and park in there, then run across the street back to the apartment complex. There are garages, but most people don’t use them. Mgmt does random checks to make sure your garage is usable for a car and not used for storage, but it’s a game. They put out a notice and then everyone moves stuff on their patios until the checking is over. If you live on the back side by the garages then you will experience the 405 freeway! The windows are single pane from the 60’s so 24hrs a day they rattle and the walls shake! The first week I thought California sure has a lot of earthquakes! And at night the windows are so thin that you hear the roaring of the traffic on the freeway and keeps ya up all night long. They have 9 swimming pools and NO Jacuzzi! During the winter/colder months you will find out that the single pane windows cause a lot of condensation build up that leads to MOLD. If you don’t wipe down the window edges every week with bleach than you will get a big BLACK MOLD growth. You even sign some paper stating that you are aware of this! The workout room needs some help too. The machines are getting worn out and if you are lucky enough to beat out everyone else then you can get the better of the 2 treadmills. Found out most people just get a membership at the local clubs then deal with the small gym here. They are per friendly, but the pet owners (not all but most) do not pick up after their pet. And I will see several times while walking that pets are being left outside on a cold day on the patios and there is no one home. THAT IS JUST WRONG! If you can’t take better care of your pet then don’t have one! The price you pay is about $300 higher than a place of equal standards. The laundry rooms are small and you have to fight for them. There is a room with 3 washers and 3 dryers for each courtyard and most of the time someone from another courtyard is over at yours cause theirs is used or broken. You will be looking for a coin laundry place soon. **** Overall you can find a place with ALL the things you want for the same or lower rent. My biggest complaint would be the single pane windows ****
