a no frill work out place for the truly dedicated. i was a member of pinacle which is a nice gym but a bit more expensive. 24 hours is cheap, plenty locations to choose from and is cheap. some gyms are better stocked than others but you can't beat the locations. they're everywhere..including in the las vegas airport. so depending on your membership there are alot of locations to choose from.

so much fun to do as a kid and now as a grown up taking kids there. i haven't gone in ages but definitely would do it again every few years. the boat ride, although cold, is always enjoyable. plus the trip is educational for kids and grownups alike. bundle up though cause it gets windy. afterwards, stop by pier 39 for a hot bread bowl of clam chowder!

visited shimo once for dinner with a friend who recommended the restaurant. it's not that easy to see even though located on a main drag but definitely worth visiting. it's a no frills japanese place with fresh fish and great hamachi kama if you like the collar of a fish...cooked. plus parking is more doable than in other parts of the richmond district and in walking distance to great dessert places.

i've lived here in sf for over 25 years and would still visit pier 39 on occassion. the atmosphere is unbeatable. lots of restaurants, shops and other attractions. the sea lions are right there with a cute history. ofcourse the clam chowder and for dessert apple candy! there's even a carousel in the center plus magic shows on the weekends. great place to bring the family or hang out with friends.

very cute owner! i don't do much double takes but the owner, dressed in all black, was cute. food was alright. atmosphere with the dancing was very lively. there are better places in the city for morroccan food but this was okay too. the prices are comparable to the other places and definitely worth trying. i love morrocan entertainment so always looking for morrocan places to try.

is a great park to spend your sundays. they close a section off from vehicles for runners, walkers, bike riders and skaters alike. i've gone there with a blanket just to soak up the sun. there are talks to close sections of the park on saturdays as well which i think is a great idea. also you are close to the newly remodeled de young museum, japanese tea garden, etc... beautiful park.

is probably my favorite ice cream place for it's exotic flavors and so many exotic flavors to choose from. it makes ordering a little tricky unless you plan on having more than one dessert. they will also dip your ice cream in chocolate if you are so inclined. this place gets crowded on balmy nights when everyone is out for ice cream! great place to bring the kids and family.

alot of exotice flavors to choose from plus the regular flavors as well. the exotic flavors are of indian spices and culture. i tried the saffron pistachio and it was good. they allow tasting so just ask to taste a few before ordering. they also sell a few indian snacks plus a popular indian dessert made of rose water and ice cream called falludah...disappointing falludah though.

my sister raves about this place so after dinner in the neighborhood, we decided to walk over for dessert. yummy...ice cream. they have a few exotic flavors if you are looking for something different. the place itself is not that big but with a few tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the ice cream if you were so inclined. we took ours to go and enjoy.
